FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
I tend to follow the IEM Bass club thread, so pretty much anything that they would talk about in there. SE 846? Aurisonics? FutureSonics? I read joker's review of the FLC 8 but I don't know what configuration of filters he used when he compared them to other IEMs in terms of bass. ...- localredhead

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
Is anyone using the maximum bass profile? Gold - red - black filters? I'm curious how these hold up to other IEMs known for their bass if the filters are configured for maximum bass and sub bass. Anyone?- localredhead

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
They do have visible seems but they don't look bad. The finish of mine is decent looking, I would say better than the pictures I've seen so far online. I think overall they are made well. I do dislike the cable, and I will be looking to replace it as soon as I can.- localredhead

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
They came with the Gold nozzle filter installed, and Grey filters for the front and back were installed. I changed it to a Green nozzle filter, Red filter for more sub bass and a black filter for maximum bass. I feel like the bass definitely became more punchy and tighter, but I feel like...- localredhead

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
I just received mine from a massdrop deal today and began listening without doing anything to the tuning of the ports. First and foremost - it came with a hardshell case vs. the soft case in Joker's review. It's beefy and could be run over by a car I think without failing. Anyways -...- localredhead

I really wish | joker | could review the latest Audio-Technica IEMS!!
I would love to hear his thoughts on the IM50 and IM70 in general. TBH I'm more interested in those vs. the BA's. I just jumped in on a massdrop buy for the FLC Technology FLC8 based on joker's feedback on that one.- localredhead

Interestingly - I actually had to get a new right earbud do to no fault of Meelec. Mine had well over 100 hours before I had to swap the right earbud out for a fresh one. I have a burned in earbud on left and a bran new on the right and I gotta say, I can't tell a damn bit of...- localredhead

M6 PRO Impressions
After listening to these for weeks on end I have to say I love them. In my initial review I complained about the bass being a little recessed. AFAIK this is the first impressions thread that has popped on "teh intenets" and every review that was posted after mine has echoed what I stated...- localredhead

Hey - the comply tips are Medium. I highly suggest you order some large comply tips. In my review http://www.head-fi.org/t/752533/m6-pro-impressions/15 I noted that the SQ is highly dependent on the ear tips used and I could not find a good seal either - and I found the bigger shallow ear...- localredhead

Sweet! I'm really curious to know what you hear. I think that these may actually benefit from an amp - do you have one to compare with ? I do not have an amp but I just have a feeling that the sub-bass roll-off would not be there with an amp. The impression that I get is all the...- localredhead

Bose AE2W *review*
At the price that they want it is a hard sell - if they had NC it wouldn't be though. The EQ on these is slightly different than the AE2 because they have something called "active EQ". I am not sure what ActiveEQ does but to my ears it is a nice balanced sound. I always felt the AE2 by...- localredhead

Bose AE2W *review*
I've always been a fan of underdogs and I've always had a fetish for the Bose headphones. I know, its kinky and it is bad, but I just can't help myself. I may need an intervention (and would welcome your arguments why I'm completely biased and wrong about this). I would call myself a mid-fi'er...- localredhead

Just got a pair of Bose QuietComfort 15s... anything I need to know before I use them?
In all my time on this website - I've heard a lot of people trash talk bose but I have NEVER ONCE heard the claim that Bose breaks easily. This is a first. I wouldn't worry about that claim (which I think is B.S!). Bose has great customer service, if not some of the best in the...- localredhead

Sennheiser HD 598 OR Beyerdynamic DT 770 80ohm OR Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro
the bass switch on the COPS definitely works as advertised. In the linear position they have more bass than a flat response curve would have, so they are still slightly colored. For musical enjoyment though - I doubt you'll mind.- localredhead

Beyerdynamic Custom Ones! New Beyer headphones!
My COP's sound phenominal. They are my first beyerdynamic headphones so I have nothing to compare them to really... but compared to my MDR V6's, SkullCandy MMM's, TMA-1 Studios, and Koss Pro DJ 100's... these are money. I'm now a die hard beyer fan. They are built like a tank, sound...- localredhead
