Headphones to match Barefoot MM27 studio monitors
Can you give me an example of less details ? Honestly I didn't notice that, I think it's more related of the fact you ear is less near the driver.- Hun7er

Search builder for custom headphone amp
They also have low distortion. The problem is that most amp didn't have the right driver tube. So at the end you "hear" the distortion of the driver not the output. But yes if you want the best performance stay away ! However I prefer a bit more pleasant sound but don't that want that...- Hun7er

Audeze LCD-4
I don't think it's so easy to categorize. I had an SR007 and SR009, they always had that ethereal sound that I didn't find "real". The SR009 was a bit bright and thin. I owned an LCD-X, tried on EC BA and 2A3MKIV and find congested also the treble lacks refinement. The HD650 has an...- Hun7er

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
Your opinion interest me, you owned an Abyss right ? The HE1000 is more warm and smooth than the SR007MKI ? I already found the SR007 unoffensive. Did the HE1000 is more solid or less ethereal sound than the SR007 ? Did you prefer the HE1000 over the Abyss ? Thanks- Hun7er

Somebody did an comparison between the HE1000 and SR007 ? I like the SR007 but I find it too ethereal and lack of impact. I like smooth and inofensive sound.- Hun7er

CanJam SoCal 2015 Impressions Thread
Hi, If the HE1000 is what you describe I don't feel it as a successor of the HE6. I only own an stock HE6 but in terms in viscerality it is the second headphone after the Abyss. It has very organic and full bodied sounds.- Hun7er

Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
I think the problem is that when you live with the HD800 or others headpones you're intoxicated by the signature. When you pass from the HD800 to the HD1000 you think it must clarity or details because like cradon says it didn't have that artificial brightness.- Hun7er

HD800 vs HE1000/MHP1000 impressions. Suprises all around!
Honestly for me it's a good news if the HE1000 is not an HD800 bis. I heard the HD800 on several setups WA5, BA, 2A3MKIV and for me it was always too sharp. It lacking body and didn't have enough cohesive presentation as each instruments seems to play on his place.- Hun7er
