Cheap IEMs for school
Im looking for cheap IEMs in the $20 range with decent bass and midrange. I will be listening to mostly hip-hop and electronic music but will occasionally play jazz. I heard MEElectronics makes good IEMs in that range but im not sure which model best suits my music preference.- ThumperSD

Why Kanye West = God?
Quote: You obviously missed my point According to your logic, certain genres shouldnt even be considered music. -
Why Kanye West = God?
Quote: Not even close... though he'd like to think it. Mainstream hip-hop is just lacking competition. Quote: Let it go. He's so closed minded I don't even bother anymore. -
how to set up subwoofer to Bx5A
If you hook up the sub to the sub out of your Xonar card you might have to set it to 5.1 as the 2.0 option wont give your sub any sound. I dont remember the Xonar drivers having an option for 2.1... it's been a while though- ThumperSD

Do smaller drivers do a better job of representing highs and mids?
Speaking in general, would a 5" driver produce better highs and mids compared to a larger 8" driver?- ThumperSD

Bass on the M-Audio AV40 with bass boost vs BX5a Deluxe
I owned both. Though I think the BX5a can hit lower frequencies, I remember my AV40 producing slightly more bass output with bass boost. BX5a is definitely not the solution for extra bass. If you dont want to add a sub, the only 2.0 speakers I know that have relatively decent bass is the A5. -

There's no doubt you will get bottle-necked at 2GB if you run a lot of memory hogging apps. That's hardly my point. My point is 4GB is enough for 97% of people. I run A LOT of apps on my fairly high-end rig and never used over 4GB, ever. I have 3x2GB DDR3 1600mhz and it's overkill.- ThumperSD

Quote: What games require 6GB? I've played plenty of games while running many apps on my rig with 6GB DDR3 and I've NEVER gone over 4gb. 4GB is plenty for the average PC overclocker/gamer. You can check your memory usage by CTRL + ALT + DEL, Start Task Manager, Performance.- ThumperSD

Hey tmars, so TRS to RCA will NOT be more noisy (higher SNL) than RCA to RCA? If unbalanced, you suggest to stick with RCA to RCA?- ThumperSD
