While I understand that audio terminology can be quite confusing at times,  "authentic" and generally better make it hard to understand what this device has done.  Also, in my 2 c, it'd be helpful to have a couple of measurements there if we're skipping the subjective entirely.

I do agree that LCD-2 is a forgiving headphone that tends to mask errors/ poorer recording quality - but a lot of cheaper headphones can do this too.  At 1K, there are many expectations for a headphone, and the Elear which you compared does squarely outshine the LCD-2 in many respects.    ...

@FortisFlyer75 Agree with you on the balanced IEM (or at least making it optional).  Haha I'm not a whiz either...just trying to put some numbers to the stuff I hear.  It's not exactly clear about what goes on inside the player, or the output impedance and other key numbers (which measured fine...

@Brooko solid review m8!  Just heads up, measured the output impedance a lil while back - it is approx 1.75 for the Supermini and closer to 1 for the Megamini (not exact, just off the top of my head).

I've tested all the bit rates on all the file types.   Right now ALAC 24/192 is acting weird...and AIFF is hit or miss.

Nice...formatting on the review seems to be working now.  Did you perhaps notice that not all the formats are working, especially not AIFF, and that at higher bit and sample rates, 24/192 specifically, that the player starts running into stutter and issues like that?

@twister6 yea the favorite makes little sense.  You can scroll faster by holding down the up and down buttons!  Definitely has some weaknesses, and I'm hoping firmware will fix most of these issues.

@HOWIE13 great to hear!  Continued use of the Espressivo really makes me believe that the Epsressivo could be a great, fairly responsive platform for rolling.
