Need help finding headphones for Orchestral music. ~$100 Price range.

For anyone who stumbles upon this old thread of mine, here's an update - I originally bought the AD700, and used them for a few years. I loved them, although they squeezed my head a little. However at the store where I worked they had the A700s, discounted because of them no longer being...

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?

It does have the ports for 5.1 surround sound.   There's something I just noticed. Whatever the default output is set to when I open Wirecast, that's what it stays on. If I switch the default output on my PC, Wirecast doesn't change with it.   I wonder if I start it with my TV set as...

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?

I see how the first two options might help, but not the last two. I need to have Skype's audio in the live stream broadcast, but not coming out of my speakers.   I'm guessing the first two options would create an extra source to set Skype's output to, which would allow me to receive the...

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?

okay. I use a simple Logitech stereo system.   There are 4 active playback sources. LCD TV(because I use a tv for a monitor with an HDMI cable.) Realtek Digital Output (not used) Realtek Digital Output Optical (not used) Speakers (what I use for all my audio)   Skype detects...

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?

Hmm, I don't think any of us have one of those, or the ability to connect to bluetooth since we all use desktop PCs.   Do you know how to actually do it with tweaking output settings?

Is it possible to hide audio without actually muting it?

I'm sorry this isn't a hardware related question, but this was the only place I could think of where I could get a fast answer.   I do live streaming with my brothers, and I usually pick up their microphone audio through Skype. However we are having a LAN party tomorrow. It appears the...

Left headphone louder than right. Sony MDREX10LP

Yeah I ran multiple tests with the headphones, using them with the MP3 player, my nintendo DS, and my PC. The best evidence was on the PC when I held the headphones in my hand, played a mono track loudly, and panned the sound left to right. The left always sounded noticeably louder.   I...

Left headphone louder than right. Sony MDREX10LP

I saw these sony headphones had 4 reviews, all 5 stars, and could be purchased at a walmart for only $10, and were best for the price. http://www.head-fi.org/products/sony-mdrex10lp-blk-in-ear-headphones After some use, I realized that the left side sounded louder, and kind of distorted. I...

Do lossless files sound better on portable players?

I have a question for you guys, and thought this would be the best place to ask rather than make a new thread. Do most MP3 players play songs with the same quality, or are some MP3 players significantly better than others? I Currently have a Sandisk: Sansa. Model e260. The only big problem I've...

Looking for good sound card for ATH A700 headset

Alright, thank you very much for the reply. I think I am leaning towards getting the Beyer DT 770 or higher someday, since those are praised quite highly on this forum. I would love to have that sound card, but I don't think I have the money to spend on it yet. But I will keep it in mind in the...

Seriously why so much hate on Bose?

Why can't any companies make headphones that play music the way it is supposed to sound? When I listen to music, I want to hear it the way the creator meant for it to be heard, not just what I think sounds good. Sure, a headset that could give sound in that wide of a range would be expensive...

    A700s are squeezing my head!

hahah, really? Well, if it is possible to bend them without doing any serious damage to them, I might give it a try. I was just worried I might accidentally snap it, or damage the wiring inside it somehow.

Need help finding headphones for Orchestral music. ~$100 Price range.

Quote: Hahah, I don't even know what most of this means. Don't know what a good or bad mid sounds like, nor do I know what recessed or forwards sounds are like. That's ok though for now. You are right Napalm. I guess I should just pick a headset, and if I don't like it I'll return it and...

Need help finding headphones for Orchestral music. ~$100 Price range.

I think the reason why these topics are created so often are because no website can give a straight answer. I thought picking a nice headset would be as easy as buying a video card, but is seems that there are no definitive headsets that are obviously better than others for the price. It's so...

Need help finding headphones for Orchestral music. ~$100 Price range.

Lol, thank you. I was looking around at other threads too before creating this one, but a lot of people seemed to have different tastes in what they were looking for, and I thought I could find a good headset faster by making my own topic. And now, I don't know what to do! heheh.

oh cool. There is a Guitar Center not that far from me. Maybe I'll give it a look tomorrow. I wasn't sure if there were any common stores anymore that let people test headphones, heheh.

Need help finding headphones for Orchestral music. ~$100 Price range.

Hmm, that's a tough choice. I really wish there was a store where I could test these out. I do have an equalizer on my pc, and on Winamp, which I use both to give plenty of adjusting where it's needed. I can't imagine the AD700s having less Bass than my current headphones...

Need help finding headphones for Orchestral music. ~$100 Price range.

Hi guys! I am a gamer, and music lover. I have been in search recently for a pair of high quality headphones. I was originally planning on getting a pair of the $130 Tritton Headphones ever since I tried them at PAX East this year, but from the reviews I've seen on the forums here, they are not...
