    Earbuds Round-Up

Since it's 2.5mm, I only use them with the ES100 and the iBasso DC01 dongle. They seem pretty easy to drive?

+1 for the Snow Lotus 2.5mm - I prefer it to a lot of other "TOTL" earbuds

The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies

I would say that'll be very likely. Lola/N8s were my favorite CIEMs at CanJam NYC 2020.

The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies

I went with the N8s strictly for the 2-pin hardware, comparing the two (walking between the two booths at CanJam) they're very very similar. You're probably right. Probably in a similar vein, I don't really like planar gear either.

The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies

Oh definitely, I don't like the term "basshead" but I'm definitely basshead-adjacent. For reference, my preferred headphones are a pair of slightly modded Fostex TH900. From memory, I wouldn't say there was more bass on the N8s compared to the A12t, but it "hits" different. I can't really...

I think all couriers (at least in the US) are re-prioritizing their deliveries to accommodate for the sudden increase in demand for urgent items.

CanJam NYC 2020 Impressions Thread (February 15-16, 2020)

Yup, I spent a little bit of both days at the 64 AUDIO booth and in the end decided on getting a pair of N8s. Should be arriving in a couple of weeks. Literally cannot wait. And I completely agree with your cable observations - I even asked Kalani about it. Already emailed Moon Audio/PlusSound...

Can I trouble you for some impressions? Not a lot of English literature out there on these earbuds yet.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Not a lot of information out there in English. I just did a little researching and the only real in-depth stuff have been in Thai(?) or something. Nah, I understood you were coming from a good place and meant to be helpful. And in theory I do agree with your principle but there's a big...

    Earbuds Round-Up

I've tried the Liebeslieds but the weight and form factor didn't work for me. First I'm hearing of the DQSM Turandot - looks promising. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll definitely look into them. What is a reserve pair?

    Earbuds Round-Up

Yeah, always used the travel pouch/boxes. And they do sound really amazing, but I'm not really into their stuff anymore.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Yeah, probably came on a little strong there and full disclosure my last pair of Rose earbuds were late 2018 but I've had 5 pairs of their earbuds and they've all failed within the year for some reason or another. I'm willing to take responsibility for some of the wood Masya I used as daily...

    Earbuds Round-Up

Rose earbuds are always a bit finicky to get a great fit for me and until someone can definitively prove to me that their product can last more than a year, I'm not particularly interested. Would probably prefer going for ZoomFreds or something

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread

Any pads that have a layer between the driver and your ears will cut some of the high end. In my experience Alcantara pads in general can muddle the bass. Personally I really like mine with either the Dekoni Hybrid or ZMFs

CanJam NYC 2020 Impressions Thread (February 15-16, 2020)

I spent about 20min uninterrupted at the show demo'ing the HPA4 - admittedly I wasn't able to test my open headphones to the degree I wanted to but that AMP sounds really d*mn decent!

CanJam NYC 2020 Impressions Thread (February 15-16, 2020)

Hehe with the CanJam discount it's close enough? Is +/-$1000 a big deal in audio? I don't remember enough to go into the specific details but the high-end clarity was much better on the 64Audio offerings.

    Grado HP1000 "The legendary Grado"

Welcome to the Forum! I'm a big fan of the HP1000s for their unique look, the polarity switches and extended "antennas" really give it a Jetson-era UFO kind of vibe. Bold A) Be curious to know what "upgrades" your unit went through at Grado's! Bold B) Where did you get these flat pads? As...

iBasso DX160 - The listening experience only gets better and better. Check for latest Online Update. Unboxing 1st Page.

That's a huge endorsement from my perspective. I was a really big fan of the N5ii's sound signature, maybe it just complimented my equipment. But I'd be keen to try the DX160 now... For the people who have it already. How's the size? The reason I moved away from using the DX150/220 more...

iBasso DX150. Dual dacs and interchangeable AMPs. **NEW Firmware that supports AMP9! ** New FIRMWARE 1.05 Dec 30.

Sorry didn't mean to be casting doubt. I just remember reading someone mentioning having issues going from Lurker to iBasso latest OEM firmware so I assumed it was because the Lurker wasn't up-to-date yet. Happy to hear the latest firmware is AMP9 ready, I'm very happy with your work and very...
