Apologies everyone, it must have been down to Xmas over indulgence that 1.2.0 all seemed OK to me.    I've just tested 1.2.0 vs 1.1.14 and the difference is noticeable to my sober ears. It sounds like the overall mid-range has been subdued, details seem to be lost in the background and the...

Updated mine to 1.2.0 fine. Only minor issue was .img file couldn't be found in Slot 2 and had to move it to my 128GB card in slot 1. All seems to be working fine. Album art is fine and swapping between albums refreshes art quickly.

Try downloading the firmware update again. Format the SD card as Fat32 and put the unzipped .img file on it. Power up the DX80 and do a factory reset, then put the card in and try updating again from the DX menu

Practically every manufacturer releases their products less than 100% ready and relies on user feedback to fix the bugs otherwise nothing would ever get released. None of these "issues" being reported above are particular worth throwing your toys out of the pram over.   Make sure your SD card...

Ultimate Ears UE Pro Reference Remastered! (UERR)

Thanks. To my ears the bass of JH13 seem quite subdued (compared to ACS T1, A8,JH16) so I am very curious how flat the UERM would sound. Whether they would be for me, I don't know. Hopefully I'll be able to audition some of these options next year.

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.

I remember I used to use a multi voltage power unit in the office for my DX100 and had it set to what now appears to be 12V according the picture from Kazcou. Unfortunately I've lost that power unit and so need to go back the official one I got with the DX100 but now don't know if it takes a 3A...

Thanks Kazcou, much appreciated - I've found the right one now.   Out of curiosity, are you in the UK? Reason I ask is that I also have a load of plugs that fit that power unit ranging from 3A to 13A fuses - any idea which is the right one?

71 IEM Brief Review thread (incl. Rhine Monitors, Cleartune, CustomArt)

I'm really interested to read your comparisons against the JH13 Freq. I love the uber resolving nature of them and how they extract all the nuances out of my music, yet have just enough bass to make them fun to listen to. I have the JH16 too but they are just too bassy for me and are rarely...

I'm using my JH13 and there is no sibilance if that is what you are referring to. I tend to find that happens with poor recordings or certain headphones. If anything I would say with the DX80 being more laid back\analogue sounding it would be less likely to hear the sssssssssss.
