    Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone

It doesn't sound like any of the headphone you listed, the closest is DT880 with A pad and DT990 with B pad

    Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone

I've been playing around with Solderdude's measurement and my own curve, here's my current 2 cents eq for the A-pad FWIW: I think the dip at 4.5k is an artifact from resonance? Fully correct it based on measurement alone will lead to overcorrection (The original calculation from REW suggests a...

    Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone

The 990/880 pad works and sound very similar to A pad, I don't think it is firmer though. The B pad probably is similar to 770

No I am talking about Crin's measurement, I only have dozens or unworthy iems. :) Unwanted peaks at 6k, 10k etc are hard to get rid of even in high end iems...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

They are iSine, so I assume the Cipher cable is the default tuning. I am happy that Audeze publish the EQ so one without iDevice can use the iem on other platform to its fullest potential, please keep up the good work KMann...

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

I don't notice any change in sound. The fit is so much better now due to the softer cable and the lack of memory wire, the stock cable keeps getting in the way.

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

@KMann Hi, got a question for you. Crinacle measured the iSine10 and iSine20 (here: https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/crinacles-fr-measurement-database-306-iems-measured.830062/page-19#post-13585405) and saw a peak at around 1.5k. I also measured iSine10 with my IMM-6 setup and saw a 12-15db...

BEST BUDGET EARPHONES THREAD- Chi-fi, Obscure brands and impressions sharing+PERSONAL RANKING LIST

@hoerlurar, I don't think I am handy enough to try the mod though :frowning2: @DBaldock9, thank you for the suggestion, I generally don't have much luck with straight-in, I have tried Einsear t2 and Urbanfun, both are not too comfortable for me. @Vidal, My fit problem is usually the earphone...

BEST BUDGET EARPHONES THREAD- Chi-fi, Obscure brands and impressions sharing+PERSONAL RANKING LIST

Hi Vidal, Thanks for your reply. ZST actually has a very good fit for me, except for the peak at 9k-10k. I don't like mid-bass either, so Tennmak is out for me. Now that I look closer, it seems like **** UES would have similar fit, would you say it has less treble than ZST? Are there any build...

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.

Hey all, just got my KSC75 and doing a frequency sweep. Does anyone hear a huge null between 3k and 4k? It's rather narrow in frequency but the dip is pretty significant. Wondering if it is normal or if my pair is defective. Thanks,

    Absolute best budget earbuds?

Qian 39 is the most comfortable, followed closely by PK2; I can't stand monk's shell btw. In terms of sound PK2 is very detailed without being too v-shaped. O, and the silver cable is lovely.

    Absolute best budget earbuds?

I have tried 32S (the red cable version, not 32?), H180, and H185, here are my impressions: 32S: Very V-shape, treble hurts my ear, mid is nowhere to be found, not sure how similar/different to the regular 32 version? H180: Bloomy bass that leaks into the mids, not my type... H185: V-shape...

    Looking for a USB DAC/AMP like E10k w/ line-in

Ya, a portable like E11k will do all I want (I don't have a E10k nor E11k yet), except I don't want to deal with the inevitable death of the battery. Does the iBasso have a user replaceable battery btw?   I am planning to have it semi-permanently plugged to the desktop and use the USB as...

    Looking for a USB DAC/AMP like E10k w/ line-in

My speaker is a very old stereo speaker, is that 2.1? I definitely don't have a 5.1 system so I am not so sure if my speaker will work on Omni?   Edit: O, looks like they do come with RCA->3.5mm female adapter, so I guess I can use that then.  This looks like what I am looking for, thanks for...

    Looking for a USB DAC/AMP like E10k w/ line-in

Thanks for the suggestion, that looks interesting, couple of questions:   1. My speaker only has one 3.5mm connection, can I use it on the C/sub output at the back? 2. Anywhere I can find the output power of the AMP? I need to drive a HE-400i.   Thanks again.

    Looking for a USB DAC/AMP like E10k w/ line-in

Hi,   I am looking for a USB DAC/AMP like E10k but with line-in so that it can also be used as AMP only when needed. I also don't want to deal with battery or external power source. Budget is <$100. Does such a thing exist? Thanks.
