Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings

I just bought one of these little beauties and got it the day before the 1.08 FW was released... I had a really hard time finding my music and seriously considered returning it already at the first day. But all is sweet with the new FW where we have the Artist - Album - Music option.    This...

    AKG K812 Pro

In you previous post you said, no, he should not listen to them. He should get the K1000.   Actually, he did not ask for opinions indicating, that he can't get to hear them.  He asked, if he should try them out. It seems he has doubts after you and Kyle 491 repeatedly has bashed the...

    AKG K812 Pro

Don't be put of by the same few people bashing the K812 over and over and...   Of course you should try them, and they are excellent. If you read Stereophile, then check the latest issue where there is a review of a Moon Audio dac/headphone amp. The reviewer mentions the sound with both Audeze...

    AKG's new K872?

I wonder how many headphones are actually acceptable, if all headphones getting negative feedback from some are ruled out? Don't think there will be (m)any left...

Wow, you're a lucky man. Congratulations, both on the wife and the DX80      I have the Dignis case also (cognac color), and it's really high quality. Expensive, but worth it.

Regarding the A/B comparisons on sound etc... Just to share, this is what works for me (and a bit of background for context).     Context I have been into hifi for 35 years (since I was 13 years old and build my first DIY speakers).   I'm an electronic engineer and have worked with design...

Yes, fully agree... Digital products measure very similar, but still sound different.

Now the sound of the FW versions comes up again from a few people I decided to to a re-check on this with an open mind. I installed the 1.4.0 and 1.4.2 versions when they came out, but went back to 1.3.3 again because of the better sound. Yesterday I reinstalled 1.4.2 and gave it a serious...

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions

I fully agree, that's my take as well. I use my DT1770 in my portable system together with the iBasso DX80, and it's a very nice match.

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions

Sometimes when we hear a ''problem'' with a new product I think it's because we have become so use to the sound of the product (headphones in this case) that we are used to. And sometimes the problem is more on the old product that we have gotten used to over the years, than the new one. Our...

1.3.3 sound more musical to me, and better than any of the 1.4 FWs. If you prefer a sound with a more forward treble and more focus on on details than coherency and musicality, then I think you will prefer the 1.4 FW's. I don't think one is clearly better, it's a matter of preference.    I use...

    AKG K812 Pro

I contacted AKG bout the ''boubles'' on the insde of the pads, just to get their opinion also. They responded within an hour and say that this is perfectly normal for the K812 pads, and that it does not affect sound or comfort in any way. So their response is consistent with your comments.  ...

    AKG K812 Pro

A question for you K812 owners... Does the pads on your K812's also look like this on the inside? On mine both the L and the R pad has these big ''boubles'' on the inside of the pads. It does not look right to me...   Thanks for your advise on this.

    New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)

Don't get your hopes to high... As I mentioned above, they said, that they could no longer deliver because their supplier claim the headphones are not manufactured any longer...   But who knows, maybe they have started making them again

    AKG's new K872?

Maybe that's because they are made by Beyerdynamic? As I understand it he has stated earlier, that the Beyerdynamic top models are so flawed, that they are not suitable for review...

OK, then it makes sense for me again, since this is the kind of equipment I have been involved in the voicing of are totally optimized on all the areas you mention (Crazy expensive high end audio equipment). In designs like that the programmers can tweak the sound relatively predictably.  ...
