Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

Hey guys I just wanted to recommend and just wanted to confirm that if you plan on using the Sound Blaster E5 on the PS4 or Xbox One, you must set your Audio Settings to LPCM or Xbox one via (Stereo Uncompressed). I even spoke to a creative customer service representative for the E5. I even have...

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

All good dude, I got to tryout the E5 Today and used it with the PS4's LPCM and got to hear exactly what I was expecting. The SBX works great with the PS4 and is a much better alternative than the Astro Mixamp. I was even able to Customize the surround sound via SBX Pro Software. So right now...

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

The Astro Mixamp is Dolby Certified. Has a decoder, that can be turned on or off for the 5.1     Astro Mixamp = Dolby Decoder on or off which allows virtual simulated 5.1 or 7.1. Some Movies and games use stereo yes, but the astro mixamp can still simulate surround with the decoder...

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

If you use the optical out of your system like the PS4 it doesn't matter if it's Dolby Bitstream, DTS, or using the Sound Blaster SBX Pro surround sound through LPCM they will all  be SIMULATED surround sound because the optical out can only do left and right channel. If you want True 7.1 or 5.1...

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

Changing the sound settings in the PS4 to LPCM will make it output at 2 channels (Stereo Mode) then it should simulate (SBX )the surround sound just like Dolby Headphone. Optical can only produce left and right sound.  The E5 can't decode bit stream , but it can simulate surround because of the...

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

wha..? why can't the E5 do virtual surround? It uses SBX which is basically virtual surround. I've also had the Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS2 and traded it for the Astro Mixamp Pro because the DSS2 has a lot of static and less driving power. I'm very sure the E5 SBX should be a good alternative to...

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

Plan on using the Sound Blaster E5 SBX to use for Console gaming (PS4). I've found that this can be an alternative instead of Astro Mixamp Dolby Headphone. I'm sure the Sound Blaster E5 should top the Astro Mixamp both "Sound" and "Customization". Has anyone compared the two or have them both ?

    HiFiMan HE-560 Review

Hmm i would love to hear about the driving capabilities and a few other things before i get these. However i think they will be a good step up from the HE-500's as im sure that's what hifiman main objective. I wonder if it's difficult to drive or the same as the HE-500's. I plan to use the 560's...

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

i found the O2 not dynamic enough for the 500's. Althought it does sound very clear and spacious, the mids aren't natural enough for my liking either ;X

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

I really dont even listen to the HE-500 much anymore after i recieved the HE-6. I still like to listen to the He-500 for jazz but theres a new king in town :P

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

Faster headphone, Much Noticable Bass and much accurate bass. The LushessMids is definately something noticeable the HE-500 have over the HD-600. The overall engaging presentation of the HE-500 is similar to the HE-400 and i just don't seem to feel that with the HD-600. The HE-500 does every...

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

HD600's reminds me of a brighter HE-400 wtih less bass, bigger soundstage, and less intimate/natural mids.

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

Most people i've known has never been disappointed with the HE-500, and i am shocked that you found the HD-600 to be better than 500's D: That's kinda how i felt when i first recieved the HE-500's. I Felt the HE-400 was a much better headphone until the 500's just started growing on me. It's...

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

I still own a pair of HD650's but i no longer own a pair of HD600. I Pretty much got rid of them as soon as i recieved my HE-400. For Rap/hip hop i think that's more of an HE-400 park. But stil the HE500 are overall better performer. You wont be disappointed with either headphone actually :) if...

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

HE-6 seems to be more balanced than the HE-500. But i definately prefer the sweet mids of the HE-500 over the HE-6. The HE-6 of course is on an entire different level and it seems like the perfect headphone for everything. For Jazz i think i still prefer the HE-500.

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

' The He-500 do sound awesome for Dubstep and trance, but i kinda like the HE-400's more for that. I like the dark signature the HE-400 gives out. For Vocals and Jazz, I just love hearing those sweet mids of the HE-500's...

[REVIEW] HiFiMAN HE-500 vs Sennheiser HD600

IMHO i don't even think the HD600 or 650's is even in the HE-500's league. When properly amped + perfect souce synergy HE-500 + Li Figaro 339 sounds just beautiful. Even my IBasso DX100 drives the HE-500's to my liking. Even the HE-400 can put the 650's to the real test.

the new 2013 actually sounds pretty decent like miceblue said. But still way overpriced, i'd sell these and get a pair of Sennheiser 598's , Q701's or extend the budget towards the He-400's before I ever buy a pair of Beats...

    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

Quote: The Vsonic Gr07's didn't get fully in burned until about at least 120hours for me. This was back when I had my Hisound Studio 3rd Anniversary that had a ridiculously long battery life. But anyways I burned them both in, so win win :). The Sibilance, the treble and everything gets...
