    ATH-M50 or HFI-580

Quote: The Ultrasones are known for being great with EDM and bassier genres. They should have a more "club"-type sound. I have the ATH-M50 but I plan on getting rid of it soon. I thought it sounded decent, but it is the most uncomfortable headphone I've ever worn. Even cheap Skullcandy...

150~ Headphones, well balanced, slight emphasis on bass

Quote:   Sounds like the ATH-M50's situation - people always say they have huge bass, but as it turns out that's not the case at all. Thanks for clearing things up. And OP, I think we may have a winner here! Ding ding ding. Not sure if I'd invest in an amp for the DT770. Is it worth...

    PX200 II thread.

Ahh, the PX200-II. To be very honest, I thought they sounded boring at first. As it turns out, I enjoy more of a "fun" signature. But then again, I only had them for a few weeks before I broke the plug (sat down and yanked the cord). That made me sad. Although I thought they sounded...

    Headphone Sightings 2

Quote: Very small, actually. Every time I saw somebody wearing headphones, I whipped out my iPod and recorded the headphone on the note app. I may have missed one or two during conversations, but they were probably Beats. They're so common that they don't really catch my eye anymore...

    WORST headphone you ever heard?

Help uber appreciated: [JVC Riptidz] vs. [KSC75] vs. [Monoprice 8320] vs [JVC Xplosives] for RUNNING

NOTE: I've used the search function already - which had some results - but I'd still like a more direct comparison of these four. Any advice, comments, and suggestions are greatly appreciated As stated in the title, my target is a cheap (under $20) and portable (any type) set for running...

Quote: Hmm, I guess I'll just play it safe by buying the original pads, then. ...But if they're stiff and uncomfortable like the first ones I received, I'm going to pop a (couple) vessel(s)   Thanks for all your help, 50an6xy06r6n. These advice threads would be pretty static if it...

Quote: Yeah, you're completely right. the people in the thread did report some change in sound signature, which is the only thing holding me back from getting them. I'd hate to blow ~$20 on pads and end up not using them Apparently M50 pads harden/crack easily so I'm worried that if...

Thanks for your input I got 'em new. Everything was in pristine condition except for the pads...darn, if only I had realized earlier. Anyways, I'm actually considering getting the Beyer DT250 or Shure SRH440/940 pads for my M50s instead of getting the stock ones...

Hey there, I'm no professional but I can offer some opinions I had the PX200s a while back (but then I broke the headphone plug). They would NOT be good for dubstep or other bass-emphasized genres, unfortunately...I suggest taking 'em off your  list. From what I remember, they were a bit...

MEElectronics Air-Fi AF32 On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones: First Impressions

Thanks for writing! I've been interested in the AF32 for quite a while. I have some questions: -How durable are these? The band looks a bit similar to the Solos so I'm slightly uneasy. -How is the isolation and leakage (not cup-shaped padding)? -How comfortable are they? -How long does...

Oh, I see. I have an iPod Touch so I guess I shouldn't worry. And the durability sounds great, lol. So the DJ100 is cheaper and has better mids than the M50...sounds impressive. What areas is the M50 better in, though?   Thanks for the input guys, I'll brood over the two and do a little...

Oh gosh, I can't believe that I completely forgot about the DJ100. Many thanks for reminding me of it. It sounds great -- but would the M50 or DJ100 sound better unamped? And which one is more durable? I tend to screw up my gear a lot so the more durable the better, haha. Quote:

Hey guys, I've decided to order a pair of ATH-M50s (sorry to be generic), so I have a few questions: 1. Is the cord tough? All of the audio gear I've broken so far is due to the cable, so this is very important to me. Too bad it's not a detachable cable...then I wouldn't have to worry as...
