Is that considered bell shell? Looks more like regular Mx500 shape with smaller shell. Bells are more like the aeolian type?- nick67

For MMCX connectors this is not great. Need to be extra careful or you'd yank the MMCX connector out while swapping cables (for the non-screw shells) or if your buds gets swiveled while the cable is attached it could break the solder connection of the jack inside the shell.- nick67

Haha I actually just received my order of this exact E8000 glue. I had been using the original E6000 glue but it does not dry solid (i.e. the item can still be removed with some force). E6000 would be good to seal cases on the shells so that it can be opened later and tweaked. However for MMCX...- nick67

After watching the clip I can understand the asking price. Everything is built in-house down to the driver. Really want to get one due to the sheer effort they had put into developing it but can't bring myself to shell out 200+ USD for a flatbud. I must have purchased 40+ drivers so far but I...- nick67

If this is your first build I'd recommend getting the pre-soldered mmcx connector. The size of the connector is less important as it will only affect the looks mainly. It's not easy to get a solid solder done on the mmcx connector.- nick67

Sometimes AE will make you ship back the item and the cost could potentially make it not worth the whole process. Once I was asked to ship a $6 item back with tracking and it cost me $20 to send it back.- nick67

Interesting how adding horseshoes to the back of the shell increases bass, yet opening a big hole with rivet mod also gives added bass.- nick67

How does 120 Ohm Berry Comp compare to 150 Ohm Berry Comp? I ordered 120 Ohm and almost 2 months later the 150 Ohm version got delivered to me instead. Messaged the seller but he says that 120 Ohm are out of stock so he sent 150 Ohm instead. BTW anyone spotted any good 11.11 deals so far for...- nick67

Yeah I bought the SL10 based on his review and I trashed it. Waste of my cash. Most of his reviews just praises everything to high heaven and calling stuff TOTL. I just avoid his reviews whenever I see them. Perhaps we have different taste. Which driver is this? Bery?- nick67

Review by 'nick67' on item 'BOALECO BX1 Bluetooth Tube Preamplifier'
When I purchased the Boaleco PX2 amp from Sen Hu Audio, they kindly asked if I would like to try out the BX1 as well, and share some feedback about it. Since I am going to be using the PX2 anyway, I thought I could pair the tube pre-amp together and see if it adds any value. This review is...- nick67

Review by 'nick67' on item 'Boaleco PX2 tube headphone amplifier'
Let me begin by saying I have several DAC/Amp in my collection, and the ones I used most at my desk is the Hifiman EF400 and the xDuoo XD05Plus. However, since acquiring the PX2, I find myself running both these DAC/Amp through the PX2 (via RCA and AUX). I find that the PX2 adds a slight “tubey”...- nick67

Yep if someone is cash strapped but would still like to enjoy some good audio a lot can be had for like $20 or less with earbuds. To each their own but for me I do not enjoy "critical" listening trying to pinpoint every single detail and catch all those subtle sounds. It makes listening to...- nick67
