Smart choice igig. To concur with Old pa you must really want to quit. What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?
After coming here I bought a pair of Grado sr-60's. Before, I was listening to Optimus pro 35's.The difference is night and day.I've had them for a little over a month so now... I am ready for an upgrado- rally617

They Might Be Giants- severely underrated!?!
Yeah. I haven't met a gracious plenty who have given them a good listen. If you like Cake I would suggest giving TMBG a try.... humorous, witty and sometimes a little snyde.... one of my favorite bands of the 80's. Try Flood for openers. -

Sorry, no digital camera... no I don't know when it was made but I guess someone here thats been at this alot longer could probably tell us. It's one of the largest of the portables (3 jewel cases!) but I mainly use it at my computer desk so it doesn't need to be super-portable for me. Below...- rally617

got a d-3!
I just recived my d-3 a couple of days ago and it really sings! TOTALY blows away the Phillips I was using. The headphone out has alot more volume ... probably twice at least also, much more detail, less noise and smoother highs.(Really helps with the Grados...). I have yet to check the line...- rally617
