Review by 'josephpino07' on item 'Sennheiser HD 800 S'
The first thing that stands out when listening to the HD800S is the expansive soundstage. It’s absolutely breathtaking. These headphones create an open, almost three-dimensional sound that feels more like you’re in the room with the musicians rather than listening through a pair of headphones...- josephpino07

Grado GS1000i VS Hifiman Arya V2
Grado headphones in general are obsolete and cannot compete with something like a Hifiman Arya Stealth.- josephpino07

I have the Topping A90 as an amplifier. If the Topping D90 has the 5 V option as stated above and the Topping D90 was made to work in synergy with the A90, I guess the A90 can take the 5 V from this SMSL, right?- josephpino07

Review by 'josephpino07' on item 'HIDIZS MP145'
An iem that works wonderfully with metal and rock, where those electric guitars can be a bit grating with bright iems. I had never enjoyed L.A. Woman by Doors or The Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden as much as I did with these.- josephpino07

Review by 'josephpino07' on item 'Simgot EA1000 "Fermat" In-Ear Monitor'
These iems have a sonic signature and a quality to them that reminds me very, very closely of my beloved Sennheiser HD800S. I would dare say that these are a sort of iem version of them. No, they are not a sort of "cheaper version", but the sonically "equivalent version", in the sense that the...- josephpino07

Review by 'josephpino07' on item 'FiiO FH9'
I bought these iems after owning the Fh5 and Fh7 from Fiio. The Fh7 were a worth upgrade over the FH5, which in turn were and still are excellent iems. What sets the Fh9 ahead of its 2 siblings is timbre, separation and high frequencies. You have a feeling instruments are more true to life with...- josephpino07

Review by 'josephpino07' on item 'Philips Fidelio X2'
I suspect when a headphone lowers too much in price, it begins to be critisized more. This does not just happen with headphones, but with any product that has a price. It has to do with psychology and I am not going in to that. I will just say that some headphones I have had costing 600 or 700...- josephpino07

Review by 'josephpino07' on item 'Audeze LCD2 Classic'
I get bored writing long reviews. I just want to say that these headphones are suitable for all music genres, but they absolutely shine with rock and metal. For these two genres I even prefer them to my Hifiman Arya Stealth and Sennheiser HD800S. The highs are not recessed as someone wrote, but...- josephpino07

Euginius u can't say people must be deaf (which is something close to an insult) and then end up saying: "stop arguing about my taste". I love grado, but the hd650 is more neutral than the 325is (dunno about the hf2)- josephpino07

Left channel dies occasionally
Hi, I've got a huge problem with my Grados sr 225i I ordered from the USA and that I got delivered here in Italy yesterday. The left channel dies occasionally depending on how I move the headphones. Sometimes it sounds weaker than the right one whereas sometimes it just sounds fine. I am...- josephpino07

Lehmann Rhinelander + AKG K702. What a disappointment!
They are superb headphones for the cash. The are extremely comfy, the sound is well balanced and the level of insight and resolution is top class. They aren't the punchiest headphones maybe, but speakers of equivalent sonic ability would cost 4000 dollars...easily.... I had a pair of Grado...- josephpino07

Blacknile, I agree with you. 100%. Unfortunately I thought these headphone amps gave headphones a boost. Alas! I was wrong. Had I known in advance I would have bought a pair of Grado rs2i (which I have always dreamt owning) instead of this amp.- josephpino07

Lehmann Rhinelander + AKG K702. What a disappointment!
No, I'm not saying the cd player is bad, I'm just saying that the integrated headphone out of the cd player provides the same audio quality as the headphone amp I bought for 450 dollars. I'm actually praising Maratnz.- josephpino07

Lehmann Rhinelander + AKG K702. What a disappointment!
I know I should audition gear before buying it, but where I live (Sicily, italy) it's almost impossible to find a place where you can audition headphone amplifiers, therefore I had to trust all the reviews I found on the Internet. I think I'll just keep what I have, hoping that break in will...- josephpino07

how about equipment? My Rhinelander has played for approximately 40 hours or so so far. Will I see tangible differences after I let it break in for 100/150 hours? Thanks again.- josephpino07

Lehmann Rhinelander + AKG K702. What a disappointment!
Thanks for your reply, Well, I have very little to complain about sound itself. The quality of the reproduction is quite good and it's got power in abundance for my ears...it's just that I kind of feel like I've wasted my money since the headphone amplifier integrated on my cd player is...- josephpino07
