Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

If you have a Best Buy nearby, you can listen to the openfit. I think they sound really good, especially the $179 model.. I’ve blow my budget, and then some, so didn’t walk out with them. 😀

Sure, I’ve been burned before. Not with TWS, but other things…. Stay with brands that offer support 👍

Do the noble Rex5’s make the ifi go pods obsolete?

If your local Walmart has any Bose NC 700’s in stock, they’re on Clearance for $249 (new). I picked one up, I always thought they were slick. Also, they were discontinued in October 2024.

Focal Bathys Hi-Fi Bluetooth & ANC Headphones: Early Impressions

Hi all, I’m thinking about these. I’m an EQ guy and am wondering how good is the EQ in the iOS app? Also, does the EQ curve get uploaded to the headphone's, this is kind of a standard now.

But, you’ll get to enjoy it for 2-3 years. I need to move up the food chain eventually. Hanging around the approx. $250 range..

This is new to me, but maybe not to y’all.. Take these Amazon vine customers reviews with a grain of salt.. 😀

Seems to me there is a market for pure sound TWS, although small. For me, any TWS must have good to excellent NC, I only use them out and about. Great NC and superb sound just don’t go together with current technology. Sure it’s getting better every year, but no, we’re not there yet.. I’d...

Picked up Sony Linkbuds S for $60 on Seconddipity (used).. They’re good, but not worth the $199 MSRP. I’m having a hard time finding the perfect tip for my left ear on these and the XM5. Jabra, Denon, B&W, Bose and sennheiser’s all fit well, not so much for Sony…. Strange.. 🤷

Sure, of course Apple has the inside track on optimizing for IOS AAC, so AirPods Pro 2’s are a no brainer. There are others that I think do well. B&W, Sony, JBL/AKG, Jabra and Denon Perl Pros have excellent AAC playback. These are from experience. Many say Noble is probably the best sounding...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

What I can say is that my two M2’s sound better on my iPhone than my M3. That’s the reason why I never went for the M4’s. Looks like Sennheiser tuned for apt x on the newer TWS, probably because their iPhone share is way down. It’s so hard to compete with Apple in TWS for iOS devices. I’m...

As been said many times on this thread, AAC can sound excellent, you just need the whole stream optimized. Can higher optimized bit rates sound better, sure, but l’d bet on most music you couldn’t tell the difference.. Meh

I picked up a second clearance sale GBP2. I’ve been watching and reading comments saying exactly what you said. The 2’s are preferred over the 3’s.. Thanks for the effort you put into this 👍

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I own 5-6 sennheiser over ears and love’em…. So I don’t know what’s up with the QC on these.. Maybe they’re just delicate devices…

That’s why I never pulled the trigger, even though they dropped to $399 on Sennheiser refurb site.. Bummer 😵‍💫

If I recall, the top plate of the original Pi7 was metal, and created many dropout complaints. Also, it limited the Bluetooth range. They redesigned the antenna and receiver for the Pi7 m2.

A question on the GB3pro. Some on youtube claim it's made of metal. I thought this has been tried before, but the metal interferes with the Bluetooth signal.

Idk 🤷‍♂️. Three are some great deals around. I never thought I’d pick up a DPP (new in box) for $99…. Sure, why not a AKG N9 for $150?? 👍

Soundcore is one of the best easily accessible TWS. I’ve yet to be disappointed by them. Looks like Walmart won’t be carrying them in stores going forward, beats me why..

Keep an eye open, usually big discounts the day after Christmas, and probably through the weekend 👍
