My pair just came. These actually exceeded my expectations. I might be crazy, but I think I prefer the sound out of my Iphone using the noble lightening cable to the normal cable out of the WM1Z. I havent had enough time to really test it, but the lightening cable seems great.

I actually have two colors. I bought a Vivid Red when Dignis first came out with them, but then also wanted to pick up the Special Edition Dolis Skyblue. They are honestly a work of art.

Have you tried on the V1 Layla yet? Some people hate the size and fit. They are rather large. I would suggest trying it before making your decision. You really cant go wrong with either though.

I have found good fit and sound from the Ortofon tips and the new Spinfit CP220 which is more of a bi flange tip. I was using Comfly foams before, but they really did negatively impact the highs like Bart said. The CP220 and Ortofon really bring out the highs and have made me enjoy these IEMs...

Are you comparing the stock silicone to the stock foam tips? I don't use the stock foams anymore, but I found the Comply T400 Comfort to be a perfect match for my ears. I wasn't a huge fan of the comfort of the stock foams. 

I'm not the biggest believer in burn in, but I actually think these need at least 50 hours of burn in. I noticed a difference after 50 to 100 hours or so. I dont hear any congestion in mine, and I actually think they are one of the more coherent IEMs that I have. 

Are these the tips that come standard if you bought the S-EM9 mid 2016, or did ES just release a new type of standard tip? 

     I agree with the limitations with some full size headphones.I think that is the only drawback to the Opus, but other high end DAPS like the ak380 dont drive full size cans well without the amp.    @cleg awesome review. Very spot on. 

That is actually the best answer to hear. Sometimes it can be too much to keep trying different cables especially with all of the 2 pin I have. When I get the universal UERM, I'll just stick with the stock cable and enjoy

Awesome overview. Thank you very much for this. I have been on the fence between getting the 10 or the 20 or even getting them at all. Now, I think the 20 will be perfect for me without having to carry a DAP and just using my iPhone as a source.
