What is the best single DD IEM available today?
If you thought the Timsok was too warm with too much bass, I'd recommend staying away from the TX02. As much as I love it, it's a warm sound, with clear treble, and bass that's really close to basshead territory. Maybe the TX01? I've not heard it but I think that is the more balanced of the two...- Ruprit

For sale is the Melodic Artification Eclipse. I'm the original owner, purchase when the released, direct from Musicteck. They are in great cosmetic condition and are working. The glue holding the right nozzle has released causing the nozzle to separate when you remove a tight fitting eartip...- Ruprit

Bassy IEMs, need help
I hear you. For me, making a blind purchase will always be my hardest challenge in this hobby. Sometimes the recommendations work out and sometimes not. I usually need to experiment, which means money. On that note, it was Leonarfd's, best IEMs of 2024 post in the Discovery thread that drew...- Ruprit

Bassy IEMs, need help
Maybe something from 634Ears? The MIROAK-II has a warm, analog sound with great bass. The treble can be a bit peaky, but it's never missing, imo. The LOAK2-TX02, refines the sound, removing any treble peaks. The bass is also stronger and deeper. I'd say the bass reaches basshead territory...- Ruprit

These are single DD iems. I'm the original owner. I'd describe them as neutral with bass boost with airy highs. They're quite good sounding imo. The shells are polished stainless steel. They look great but are prone to scratches and fingerprints. That's why I listed the condition as good...- Ruprit

Empire Ears - Triton
Echoing your impressions. Mine arrived this past Friday and I've since been reintroducing myself to my favorite albums. I'm glad the Final E's are some of my favorites because nothing else in my collection of eartips has been able to utilize the bone conduction drivers. I thought the Azla...- Ruprit

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Sorry, I worded that poorly. I meant that when I order the iems, Fatfreq did not have an option to choose a cable termination. My receipt just says free cable upgrade, with no specifics on termination.- Ruprit

Melodic Artification ‘Eclipse’ (Dual Dynamic Driver)
I haven't gotten around to experimenting with cables. I've just stuck with the included Liquid Links one and also a 3.5mm Liquid Links cable. I definitely noticed an improvement moving to R2R though. I've been using the Soekris dac2541 as my main DAC and headphone amp unit and the...- Ruprit

Melodic Artification ‘Eclipse’ (Dual Dynamic Driver)
I'll always recommend the Eclipse. But I also am aware that not everyone is after an analog sound with a touch of warmth. I find it perfect for electronic music and haven't complained with Pop, Metal, and Jazz. The graph also betrays the impact and extension of the bass, not unlike the Szalayi.- Ruprit

Melodic Artification ‘Eclipse’ (Dual Dynamic Driver)
Yeah, I'm reading user reviews on e-earphone and there was a mention of it being a bit sharp. But I'm using Google translate so I'm probably missing context. Most impressions say that is a bass heavy, dark sound. Like you said though, that 8k peak. That's like textbook planar and enough for...- Ruprit

Melodic Artification ‘Eclipse’ (Dual Dynamic Driver)
Sure thing. This was made when I owned the TZ700, so I used them as a familiar reference. Probably not the best for sharing since they're kind of underdogs :p- Ruprit

Melodic Artification ‘Eclipse’ (Dual Dynamic Driver)
Back when I was looking at the Eclipse, I used the pen tool in Affinity Designer to superimpose Twister6's curve into a graph that follows the IEF Neutral/Crinacle curve. It's locked to 1000Hz. It's probably not at all accurate but I do think it is a pretty good approximation of what I hear...- Ruprit
