Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T
Ok, for a portable setup you can also use good IEMs and for home use one of the over-ear alternatives. At least that's how I planned it- paramac

Regarding suitable over-ear headphones that can exploit the quality of the AK 3000t both electrically and musically, I have now written to a dealer who stocks both the Ak 3000t and various high-quality headphones. From his range, he confirmed that the Stellia is one of his favorites, as is the...- paramac

Introducing NOIRE X
I can't because I only have the Stellia and would be curious myself. I can only say that for me the Focal is definitely one of the best closed headphones and is also fully suitable for mobile DACs.- paramac

If I understand correctly, you are already running the Noir X at the upper limit of the volume that would be possible with the Ak?- paramac

Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T
I have now tried out all my headphones with the AK 3000t and have come to the following subjective assessment. As expected and already mentioned, the fourth and last place goes to the T&A Solitaire PSE. The volume is only sufficient at level 80, but then it still sounds rather dull with little...- paramac

First of all, thank you for your experiences and tips.:beerchug: I had forgotten that I prefer closed headphones for mobile devices. I enjoy music in as much peace as possible, I don't want to be distracted by other noises and I don't want to bother anyone else with the noise that...- paramac

I am currently trying to research which headphones could be considered as additional partners for the AK 3000t and have come across one or two obstacles. For example, I was advised against the new DanClark Noir X because the 3000t apparently isn't powerful enough here and this is generally said...- paramac

Introducing NOIRE X
The only thing that really helps is to try it out with your own hardware, either through a well-stocked dealer nearby or through mail order with a right of return within 14 days (this is the law in Germany). Because in my case there is no dealer nearby, I am not fundamentally ruling out the latter.- paramac

Introducing NOIRE X
Perhaps as a supplement, for example Moon-Audio has apparently also tested the Noir X with the new AK 3000m and thinks that it works. On the other hand, the question naturally arises as to how well a mobile DAP can actually exploit the qualities of a headphone. Does a Noir X, for example, play...- paramac

Yes, that's exactly what it was, but this isn't made clear in the instructions. The basic problem remains, though: once you've used Replay Gain, I don't know if you can delete it so that the blue symbol next to the respective title disappears again.- paramac

Introducing NOIRE X
Thank you, that's a real shame, the size and weight as well as the price would have been very attractive. Unfortunately, I was afraid of that, I already noticed with my T&A PSE that the AK doesn't harmonize so well, it needs almost twice the volume setting to perform at a similar level to the...- paramac

I currently have a problem with the operation of the AK and it concerns the notification bar on the screen. The instructions list 14 positions, but I can only get to position 10 in the settings, I can't scroll further to the right on the screen, why? I want to remove individual titles from the...- paramac

Introducing NOIRE X
Could the Noir X prove to be a good partner for an Astell & Kern AK 3000t? I'm currently using a Focal Stellia as a closed partner for the AK, a very good pairing that is also very well driven by the mobile player. But the headphones are very large and heavy, cannot be folded and are therefore...- paramac

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
Because the E3 is mentioned here, I wonder if the Noir X would be another alternative to the Stellia. The reports I have read about this headset so far are mostly positive. The advantage over the Stellia would be the size and weight, which would make it more suitable for mobile use.- paramac

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
I almost wanted to sell the Stellia too, but couldn't offer it as it looked after a few months, with that hard black edge in the leather, which looked much worse than it does today, now that it is more even. I don't think I would have found a seller who would have bought it from me without...- paramac

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
It certainly doesn't affect the sound, but I simply expect that in this price range an item doesn't look as if it has been used intensively for years after just a few months of occasional use. I don't even want to start talking about value retention in the event of a potential resale.- paramac

It would be interesting to know why some devices have problems with noise or other interference. Could it possibly be due to the environment in which they are operated? The tubes are only protected by glass on the back, so it is possible that interference from the immediate vicinity could enter.- paramac

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
Leather care products are good for keeping the leather supple so that it doesn't crack and for repelling dirt and moisture. However, leather is generally not particularly intensive to care for. The manufacturer of our leather furniture, for example, recommended only using it twice a year and we...- paramac

Well, next I want a pair of black headphones again - because I have them now. But the fact that the headphones are basically irreparable because the manufacturer didn't take this into account in the design is something that could come back to haunt you at some point in the future.- paramac
