Review by 'cqtek' on item 'Tempotec Sonata HD II'

Introduction Tempotec continues to renew its product range. This time it is the turn of the simplest device: the Sonata HD II. This is the smallest DAC/AMP, which replaces the Sonata HD. With a very, very similar shape, Tempotec has changed the DAC chip, for one from Sabre, of course. This is...

As always, it is a pleasure to read your point of view, also because you add different appreciations that enrich the review. Thanks for the review. On the other hand, it's strange that the same device could have been added twice... xDDDDD...

The Reecho is more bassy, more U-shaped, but has very good clarity as well. Better construction, but more weight.

Reply to review by 'cqtek' on item 'Tempotec Sonata E35'

As I say, I'm not a big fan of using a device that has no line output as a source for an amplifier. I understand that you want to reduce the output impedance, which, on the other hand, I don't know if the measurement I calculated is really true. I base that calculation on the maximum output. I...

You mean connect the audio output of the E35 to the input of the L30? I would never do something like that. cascading amps? What is your purpose? Maybe I'm misunderstanding. I had the L30, but it was one of those that could be faulty and I returned it. Although, to tell you the truth, its sound...

Reply to review by 'cqtek' on item 'Tansio Mirai Land'

Very good review, especially concerning the description of the sound, in a way that we can all imagine how the LAND sound. In the same sense, the comparative comments between cables and the other models, are concise and appropriate, without extending more than necessary and only commenting on...

Thank you. I don't think review the ibasso dc03, but I will review the Hidizs S9 Pro. I haven't measured its output impedance yet. But I want to warn you that my measurements are empirical and very simple, maybe the real impedance of the E35 is lower than I say.

Of course, I agree with you. Good review, as usual. I like the different points of view to arrive, in the end, at a similar conclusion, which only reinforces the mutual feeling that extols the quality of this model. Audio reviews could become mini-works, not without talent, that try to express...

I have not compared them directly. I know they are quite different in the low end. Even the representation of the midrange and treble in the NM2+ is more excited and has a higher level of resolution, the price jump is obvious. But the Reecho is not that far away from the normal, NM2 model.

Sorry, I didn't see your question. But I'm glad you did, I haven't suffered from driver flex. And I must confess that it is one of the IEMS I am using the most and I have.... I hope you like them.

    Obscure Chinese DAPs

I don't think I will, at least for now. I have entered a Tour of a local shop in my country, to enjoy the HiBy R5 Saber for a week. Both DAPS arrived at the same time. This little one will have to wait... But I like it.

    Obscure Chinese DAPs

xDuoo X2S: A big, powerful and clear sound in a DAP miniature. It's very hard not to resist this little guy. The truth is that I was really surprised by its size and the feeling of power it offers. On the other hand, I'm getting old and small letters are not for me anymore... It's been a long...

That's right, Bass-lovers should make room in their collection to keep these guys.... But I was also surprised by the technical level of the midrange... Maybe I'm not as used to mid and high-end IEMS as you are, that's why I think I'm so surprised by the level of this model, also in that section...

Reply to review by 'cqtek' on item 'Rose QT-9 MK2'

I thought graphically there were more differences. My ears say what I have written, but I had not compared them in their FR. I square the Rose's fuller mids and that hit of clarity in the high mids. Otherwise, I'm surprised at the resemblance. But it is true that sometimes the energy level or...

Thank you very much for your words. The comfort is very good, as I have already mentioned. The isolation will depend on each one, it is a superficial insertion, in my case, where the level of occlusion depends on the tips used. I could say it is good but not excellent. You mention many models...

Thank you for your quick comment. On the other hand, we think differently and our bar for darkness is also different, which is a good thing. For me, I don't find darkness in the SG-03 and that's why I have used a pure copper wire, to round the sound and give it more spatiality. Although it is...

    The discovery thread!

Now it's the turn of the Reecho SG-03 to be reviewed and the first thing I want to say is that it's great to find great sound in this price range again. It's true that their decreasing W profile, with a very powerful low end, might make you think that these are just another IEMS for bass heads...

These are not bad either. Both photos are mine and I analysed both for this great forum. In my review of the EBX21 you can read a comparison between the two models.
