Excellent, thanks for the reply. I'll either need to audition one or look at multiple graphs to get a grasp on how it pulls off resolution.

Review by 'Soundsgoodtome' on item 'Kennerton Vali'

Original post can be found here. These were pre-production units which took care of the rough edges and looks of the gimbles. Got the Kennerton Vali on a tour and had it for a week. Want to thank Kennerton/Fischer Audio and @grizzlybeast for making the tour happen, getting to listen to...

Good read, by any chance can you compare them to Sony triple hybrids like the H3, A3, or Z5? Hopefully the latter 2 than the first.

Review by 'Soundsgoodtome' on item 'beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO Studio Headphones'

I do like this headphone quite a bit although I'll be the first to say that I have a soft spot for Beyer phones being my first taste of the audiophile world.   This is a review of a self-purchased unit; they've gone on sale here and there but like any European made phone, it seems to sustain...

You may want to run music through them for a bit, they started the way you explain the mids but they do change over time. If the volume is too loud to where it hurts, turn it down or let the phones bUrn - in first. Also be sure to check into the thx00 thread for more info/opinions.

Beyer included a face similar to a compass and square, interesting. Would you recommend this as a traveler?

@Rhamnetin and @Stillhart, it is a slight V-shaped sound but less than the Denon. I should also add that I've never owned the TH600/900 and never auditioned one for an extended period of time so my comparisons there are not that great. I have owned the D2K for several months and had maybe 20-30m...

Review by 'Soundsgoodtome' on item 'Fostex TH-X00 Massdrop exclusive'

First let me start by saying thanks to Will at Massdrop for sending a review unit, not just for review but for the Seattle meet we had recently on Dec 6th, 2015. As this is a review unit, I have promised to write an honest review which allows me to keep the headphones a tad bit longer until...

I don't own the pm3 but was able to listen to it for a week via the PM3 tour by Oppo. Which btw is still open for registration, you just have to meet the criteria.

C'mon, no arguing of riding fundamentals here. Some people can listen passively, some get too distracted but always follow your local laws about having something blocking surrounding sounds and piping music into your ears. IMO hearing protection is absolutely crucial, just like a helmet is! I've...

Thanks! I suggest either auditioning a set or trying them at a local shop but I can also say you can buy these without hearing them and chances are you're going to be pleased by your purchase.

Very nice, I have a CB919 and quite familiar with naked bikes. Yes, very much sorry for the wallet. When I first got in the hobby I had an e17 and dt880 and was content. That is until I heard otherwise and then it was all downhill from there. Or is it uphill? Still trying to figure that one...

Hey, a fellow rider! In that case then it's a matter of your personal taste. I had the Ety HF5 which are suppose to be the cheaper version of one of their higher ends (maybe the ER4P?) and to be honest I found the sound quite boring enough to send it back, so maybe we have different tastes? The...

This is odd, sure weighs heavy when holding or wearing it. I would think the he560 is lighter but the numbers shows otherwise! I wonder if the weight placement has more to do with it than distribution, or both!

Hello Baradona, sorry, no experience with the P7 so I can not compare. Hello GregH, I think these are a step up from the Mad Dogs 3.2. The sound signature is very different with the MD3.2 being subdued and very warm sounding but if fidelity is what you seek then these are a level up in my...

I've had the Amperiors and yes these are technically better than the Amperiors as well as more enjoyable. Your two requirements are check and check, I didn't test the leak but the isolation is quite good which leads me to believe that sound leak is not an issue. And yes on portable source, I...

Thanks guys! 320g, no way?! That would make them lighter than the HE4 and there's just no way.. maybe Oppo weighed them without pads? As for the bass, the majority of my music doesn't really call for much bass which is probably why I didn't feel there was much bass boost but yes, some headphones...

The PM3 is Oppo's 3rd headphone offering, a closed back planar magnetic. Thank you to @Jiffy Squid and Oppo for allowing us Head-fiers to audition these at the comfort of our own home and time, tour units are always well appreciated!! I don't own these headphones but I am now considering one in...
