Reply to review by 'jant71' on item 'Rock Jaw Audio Resonate'

Like pretty much most others categories the Resonate would lose vs. the Pioneer. Pretty clear that one comes from a major brand and the other a smaller outfit. The design is just more mature so fit, isolation, and looks are a notch above with the CH9T.

Nice review! Glad these are dropping in price from when they came out. Don't see why these can't be worn over the ear if R and L are swapped.

Review by 'jant71' on item 'Rock Jaw Audio Resonate'

Today I'd like to talk about the Rock Jaw Audio Resonate in-ear headphones. I was among the lucky few to be chosen for a 7 day slot on the U.S. tour of the Resonate in exchange for my honest opinion of them. Many thanks to Joe of Rock Jaw Audio! The Resonate can be found and ordered here...

Reply to review by 'jant71' on item 'Brainwavz B100 Balanced Armature Earphone'

Sounds good! Keep hearing the B100 and B150 are pretty close. Don't have the B100 but seems a bit more difference in the B200 to B150 where B150 is a little bit too much of a drop to want to use it anymore :) but at $199 price that same upper cable and no additional accessories are more glaring...

Great review!! What were they thinking with that ear guide portion?? At least it can be changed out. Not something I would consider for purchase either :) Just not on board with RHA's direction as of late.

Review by 'jant71' on item 'Brainwavz B150'

Brainwavz kindly offered me a B150 prototype for review. Thanks goes out to them! I have reviewed quite a few of the Brainwavz products in the past but it has been a long time since I have heard an armature model from them. I was very happy to get a chance to hear the B150. I didn't get any...

Hmmm. we'll see when I get them. They are cheap and may just differ/vary in signature. Doubt the drivers have any above average level of QC and batches may  certainly differ. Not sure how the VE foams may change the sound. How is it with the stock foams??

Reply to review by 'jant71' on item 'first harmonic IEB6+mic in-ear metal headphone with an engineered 5.5mm mini-driver for exceptional sound.'

For the most part, mine and other experiences had no real sibilance problem but the stock tips can give a pseudo seal with negative effects including sibilance. Got my pair from someone who couldn't do a review but had run them in so I can't say if they had some sibilance to start that tamed...

Twin Dude! Chill. No rush. Get your review ready and put it up when it is good to go. Same with Paul who wants to put the LZ-A3 up in 1-2 days. Plenty of room for impressions in the threads. Finish all the burn-in, testing, acclimation, figuring out needed and review after they are mastered :)...

Review by 'jant71' on item 'Brainwavz Omega In Ear Monitors'

INTRODUCTION:   Brainwavz was nice enough to send me their latest in ear, the low budget Omega. It retails for $15, comes in multiple colors, and has Apple/Android compatible 3 button remote/mic. Yep, nice review. Re-read it bought an RT10 today cause one seller has them for $25.99 on Amazon. Also am on a Prime trial and had some CC points as well. $20 with 2 day shipping was too good a deal to pass up. Should make a good over ear IEM for some light sports and the "polite" sound should...

Hmmm, at $520 I'd expect both regular and mic'd cables to be included. Not sure why they would screw in as break-away would be a good feature in case of tugging instead of getting yanking out of your ears and maybe scraping against the ground. At least they are a much improved over the old kinky...

This is my review for the new S3 from Brainwavz. Nicknamed the silver bullet for it's silver color and long slender shape. Thanks to Brainwavz for the S3 review sample. I have previously had the S0, S1, and S5 models. The S3 is rumored to be last in the S series line and now brings the...

Reply to review by 'jant71' on item 'Audio-Technica ATH CKR9 LTD'

After getting my LTD's, I do hear the difference in stage. I do think the  LTD is better balanced and the 9 is taller. The LTD seems to be more even for height and width. I like the better balance of the F.R. and I do seem to hear less grain in the highs even though they are a bit brighter/more...
