    Forza AudioWorks Impressions Thread

Matez do you make cables for the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 over ear headphones? The Forza cable I bought a couple of years ago for my Hifiman HE400 is still going strong btw.

    New Beyer DT1350

My DT1350 are broken since a couple of months. I really miss them. Would the T51i be a suitable replacement? I'd like to have similar SQ to the DT1350.

    More info on B&W 685 S2 (vs KEF LS50)

With your musical taste I would go for the KEF LS50 as it is the most all-round speaker of the bunch. The B&W CM5 has very powerfull bass but is lacking in all other departments imo. The Dynaudio X12 is a fine speaker for acoustic music but not for rock or hip-hop.    And why the LS50 are...

    which computer speakers -200€ ?

Genelec makes excellent (active) speakers. I don't think you could find a new pair of 6010 speakers for €200 however. A quick websearch indicates that they are discontinued in our region too.

    which computer speakers -200€ ?

Happy new year to you too, Sinik!   Great to hear you were able to buy them with a discount in the end.   Hope you enjoy the sound of these little marvels! Do post your impressions in this thread. I look forward to reading them.

Recommended optical/toslink cable ( chord or vanden hul)

Never had the chance to hear the VDH, but the Chord Optichord is excellent imo. Very good soundquality for the money and beautiful buildquality too.

    which computer speakers -200€ ?

Hi Sinik! You should have checked the Teufel website 5 days ago: there was a €50 discount for the Motiv B! I mentioned them here because they were within your budget at that time of speaking.

    which computer speakers -200€ ?

Hello fellow countryman!   I have very good experiences with speakers from Teufel Audio. At the moment they have a pair on sale that fits right in your budget, the Teufel Audio Motiv B. Check their website. You can hook them up via a regular cable with 3,5mm jacks. No USB needed.   I have a...

HifiMan He-300 or Beyerdynamic Dt 990 Pro

I own a pair HE-300 and DT 990 (consumer version, not the pro). They are both warm sounding headphones with great bass. The Beyer has a superior soundstage and more extending trebles. The Hifman has wonderful mids and the bass has more impact imo. Both are extremely comfortable to wear for...

    HiFiMan HE-300 Coming Soon!

Quote: $200 for a cable for a headphone that hardly costs more than that, that is a bit too much for me. Unfortunately I have two left hands, so DIY is not an option either.   The silver stock cable that you guys talk about, is that a braided cable? Mine came with a braided cable.

    New Meier Corda Rock

Sounds promising. I look forward to hearing more details about it. Thanks for the information, rasmushorn!

    HiFiMan HE-300 Coming Soon!

The vocals sound a little more distant indeed, but I don't mind that. They have a special presentation of those voices that I have never heard in a headphone. It's a more realistic and fragile impression imo.

    Upgrade from Sennheiser HD25-1 II

I have the DT 1350 and I think they might be right up your alley. Although I must say that I don't listen to any of your preferred musical genres. To my big ears these cans are neutral, very detailed and have tight/fast bass.   As for the portable amps: a headfi'er recommended me the...

    New Beyer DT1350

Nice pics rasmushorn! How about some impressions?    How does the DT 1350 respond to your amps btw? Is there one that has some magical synergy with the Beyers?

Looking for an analytical closed back headphone?

I would say: go for the DT 1350. I am pretty sure you won't be dissapointed. The DT 660 is fine, but the DT 1350 is way better imo.

    New Beyer DT1350

Quote:   While I am really happy with my pair of DT 1350's I am not convinced they'll be your cup of tea. The DT 1350 is very accurate and does have a (slightly) bigger soundstage than the Senn HD 25 in my ears. On the other hand I must say that the Senn's sound more exciting than the...

Is it weird that I prefer my Beyer DT 990 Pro's without an amp ?

Quote:   That's true. Synergy is of great importance. What amp are you talking about? And have you been listening a long time unamped before you bought an amp? It could be that you are used to the sound of the DT 990 unamped and you need some time to get accustomed to this combo.

    $300-350 headphones.

I am talking about the premium edition. These are hi-fi headphones, the pro editions are made for studio purposes.

    $300-350 headphones.

I would advise you to go for the 32 Ohm version of the DT 990. It will give you the improvements you seek and you don't need an expensive amp.

    New Beyer DT1350

Nice pics, Twinster! They give a realistic impression of the looks of these headphones. Today I've tested this headphone some more.   I've noticed three things: - The isolation was really good according to my commuting partners. - I can happily say that I no lounger have doubts about the...

    New Beyer DT1350

I ordered these headphones today at Amazon Germany. I actually didn't know there was a thread on the DT 1350. I've looked for it a couple of times in the 'Portable Headphone' forum. It would have surprised me though if there wouldn't have been a thread on this new streetcan. I'll give my first...

I couldn't resist any longer: I ordered a pair of DT 1350's at Amazon Germany. My wallet thanks you for the videoreview, Jude.    I will post some impressions next week.

    Westone UM3X Thread

Actually I didn't listen to any IEM in the past weeks to prevent my ears to alienate from the UM3X sound.    I agree with your last comment: our ears seem to perceive music differently on certain moments of the day. Different meteorological circumstances also have an impact on how good we...
