I know dsd transmission as dop and without dop ( called native support) is also used by many. But my chord dac concerts dsd into pcm.

My dac does not deal dsd natively.

So what will be better a longer filter like sinc LL and pcm to pcm upsampling or a lighter filter with modulator to convert pcm to dsd?

I am not expert in hqplayer setting. Just wanted to know about the current discussion. Is it about converting pcm or dsd to higher dsd using some modulator and then feeding it to a 1bit compatible native conversion? Does converting everything to 1 bit is better than pcm to pcm upsampling?

I was looking for flat response like ft3 and dca expanse, without much dips and peaks. Ft3's higher impedance is another plus which makes it a good match for modern high output sources like chord tt2 and mojo2. So Ft5 is out of choice. I am very happy with ft3.
