ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
Great song, but especially insane bass tone, which is only taken up to heaven level by my beloved Redheart.- Lyssky

That’s a marvelous sister Redheart. It has the Kingwood stripes which I adore but with that beautiful Redheart hue. A natural gift indeed. Congratulations. And yes Redheart is light. While I have never experienced a hardwood, I’m guessing that in genres where a headphone like Atrium is more...- Lyssky

He answered my question stating that he was using Hiby R5 G2 as primary source. That’s max 475mW. Not bad though not enough. But even he uses a powerful amp maybe his thoughts won’t change due to his tastes, dunno. 🤷♂️- Lyssky

Yea I see your point but for me when they are not used, I see them with full glory and I photograph them and how they look give me joy. Maybe it is a bit obsessive but I find comfort when I see them in my living room.- Lyssky

Thanks for the review! In addition to above, you seem to be using suede pads which provides the least bass among other pads. Stock pads are better for bass but thick pads will give the most quantity. Edit: Sorry, just saw the part where you've actually tried the stocks.- Lyssky

Since I've caught my cat lying on my keyboard and because she has the potential to lay on my headphones and amp as well, every time I don't use my desk, I lay a clean towel on my equipment and on top of the towel I put some very light stuff like a plastic bag or very light plastic cover and...- Lyssky

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
LCD-XC was very harsh at first for me too coming from HD600, Sine and VC. I am actually sensitive to harsh and piercing noises. I close my ears when a big truck or motorcycle passes by or when a toddler cries :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. But after a while with LCD-XC, somehow that harshness...- Lyssky

Funny how we all have relative senses. Coming from the LCD-XC, Caldera was dark for me. Though my brain adjusted like yours but from the opposite direction. Also, why no photos?- Lyssky

No updates/revisions whatsoever. Only Zach presenting incredible aesthetic freshness to the cups which are visual mostly. Just some wood/stabilized choices very very slightly differ in terms of sound.- Lyssky

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
Below chart is shared in the comments of Goldensound's review of Mojo2 at headphones.com. He points out that dark purple (indigo here) is the ideal volume (around 2V) to set Mojo2 for most amps. Then control the volume from the amp. Indeed when I tried to go upper towards 0dB, the amp started...- Lyssky

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
Excuse me for this semi-related question: Am I to use Mojo2 as volume control and max out Pietus Maximus volume pot or Should I increase Mojo2 volume up to around 2V and the control the volume through P.Max analog pot to get the best from the Caldera? Or both ways are valid? Nowadays I am using...- Lyssky
