Magaosi K3 PRO impressions and discussions thread.
Need to buy new phones....was already set to buy RHA MA750 but then someone pointed me to the Audbos K3 - on Amazon those receive a 100% 5star rating (maybe those are sponsored reviews?!). The Magaosi seem to come with the extra of changeable filters....I read through quite a few pages of this...- suba3333

FiiO In-Ear Monitors EX1 2nd gen is on the market now !
Do they only come with the inline remote? My current EX1 1st Gen cable is has got a crack/cut so will probably need replacement soon. I use them also for sports so the remote's extra weight would be annoying. Looks like they upgraded them quite a bit - look forward to reading more reviews once...- suba3333

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
Oh man I was just about to order them from LMUE they do have them on offer incl free int'l shipping. I wonder what the new version will cost and whether it is worth the likely price increase and the waiting time? Coming from the Fiio EX1 are the GR07BE a big improvement?- suba3333

Fiio Ex1: Reputable Seller (Fakes?)
I found this eBay seller selling them at $70 incl free int'l shipping...he also offers Make Offer option so probably can get them around $60 which seems like a real bargain. My question is if there are fakes of these floating around and how can I make sure I get genuine ones. I need a seller...- suba3333

Fix cut (separated) insulation on cable
I accidentally cut in 2 places the plastic insulation of the right side wire of my earphones on the (sharpish) metal legs of my laptop tray/stand. These cuts are all the way through the insulation (separation) but the wire seems ok and the sound is still working. Is there a way of fixing this...- suba3333

THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers)
Lamb's new CD Backspace Unwind is great and includes a bonus CD of live recordings with orchestral arrangements. I love Lou Rhodes' voice, one of the best in the business. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQLvdHIengw -
Track ID: Dub Reggae with female vocals? [FREE download inside]
Terribly sorry - I just realised that the mix I am linking too is not (and never was) a free download. I was not trying to deceive or trick anyone. My apologies again for this honest mistake. Happy listening. -
Looking for some 1940's style Noir kinda jazz
Also check out Miles Davis Ascenseur Pour L'echafaud - Lift To The Scaffold. This is a soundtrack to a French film Noir he recorded in the space of a few hours after one of his gigs in Paris. -

VSONIC GR07 Classic Color 2014 Edition: Unboxing and first impressions
Could someone pls clarify for me something I have not yet figured out about mids in general and more specifically GR07. I listen to a wide range of music, jazz, blues, soul and a lot of electronica but not much rock. I LOVE female vocals so mids are obviously important to me. I would not...- suba3333

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
I wish they would give more info on the Classic. I am sitting on the fence whether I should buy the discounted model now or whether to wait for the new one. I really like the blue version...looks awesome plus the cheaper price is also greatly appreciated. Of course, sound quality of the new...- suba3333

The JVC HA-S500 thread.
I got my S500 about a week ago and I too feel the high clamping force on my ears/head. My head size is medium so I can only imagine how they feel on someone with a large head. It doesn't help that the earpieces, when worn Left/Right correctly, don't allow for much angulation at all (narrower...- suba3333

Software to sync iTunes (Windows) library with MP3 player?
I am not up to date with the latest development but when I got my Sansa Clip Plus about 2 years ago I was also looking into this but could not find anything useful. For sheer convenience nothing beats the iPod - iTunes combo (automatic syncing of smart playlists and updates of free podcasts). ...- suba3333

JVC HA-FXT90 Thread
xProvidence, many thanks for your prompt reply. I did quite a lot of reading already and could not really see many, if at all, direct comparisons between the two so your reply is very helpful to me as you've seen both in the flesh and can confirm that there is not much difference in size -...- suba3333

JVC HA-FXT90 Thread
It's been a few years since my last IEM purchase; I am now looking at the fxt90. They are not exactly the smallest, is it still possible to use them in bed or are they sticking out too much? Should I look at the fxd80 instead as they seem quite a bit smaller though they are, as I understand...- suba3333

Shootout: 114 Portable Headphones Reviewed (Xiaomi Mi Headphones added 04/21/2015)
Any update on the review of the JVC S400/500 (the last reference I found on this thread was back in October). I am holding back on the purchase of a new headphone (my first for a very long time after years of IEMs). I am also considering the v-moda M80 (probably used). Listening to many...- suba3333

Is itunes okay for music?
If you own an iPod then iTunes is great for syncing/updating. I use a lot of smart playlists on my iPod and that's how I rotate through my large library. iTunes is also great for subscribing to free podcasts and then automatically updating your iPod. All my syncing is automatic, none of...- suba3333

iTunes 11
I have an old iPod nano 2nd gen and was wondering if it is still supported by the new iTunes. I did a quick google and it looks like some people are already complaining, however this could be just one of those bugs which might be fixed through an update. On the other hand I would not be...- suba3333

Ripping old recordings: High Bitrate?
I always wondered if it makes any sense to use high bitrates for older recordings from, say the 30s/40s, which obviously are pretty poor quality. What bitrates would you use for those CDs if you wanted to save on file size? Taking this one step further when would you say high quality... -
The JVC HA-S500 thread.
I have 2 questions: - do the earcups turn flat for storage? - is it possible to use them in bed? Obviously lying on one's side is impossible with headphones but lying on the back with head on pillow? Thanks.- suba3333

Best iem under $200 for exercise? new or used.
You want to exercise with an iPod Touch plus amp....don't expect to break any PRs with that heavy/big combo. I highly recommend you get a Sansaclip Zip instead and some "over the ear" IEMs for bombproof fit.- suba3333
