Sharp highs, super detailed headphone
I don't know if it has been suggested or not (I don't want to read though 5 pages) but Ultrasone HFI-580/780 are supposed to have very strong highs and great bass. You can get them pretty cheap from Northern Lights and Sound and they would be an upgrade from the D1001's (which im listening to...- fghtffyrobesity

Just got my Denon 1001
Its kind of hard to say. They are totally different heapdhones. The HD555's are open backed and the D1001's are closed back, thus making a totally different sound.- fghtffyrobesity

New to Vinyl. Need help setting up.
Yep. They let me bring in the one I opened and the unopened one and exchange them. It was just a pain to drive 5 miles each way to get them. But the good news is that it works now! The left speaker is a little quiet compared to the right, but no complaints! Its 30-40 years old and still works!- fghtffyrobesity

New to Vinyl. Need help setting up.
The needle says it is a ST12-H. Does that H make a difference or should I be good with just an ST12. Also, thanks for the help. I'm excited for getting this set up- fghtffyrobesity

New to Vinyl. Need help setting up.
The unit is a panasonic RE-8015. The fourth picture down is actually the back of it but its the back of the speakers which confuse me. It's just two screws on the back (second and third picture down) But thanks for the recommendation on the needle. I'll pick one up- fghtffyrobesity

New to Vinyl. Need help setting up.
Hey guys, I recently found a record player and speakers from my grandma's basement. Turns out they were my mom and dad's and they said I could have it. The only problem is I have no idea what to do with it. It didn't come with any wires and it needs a new cartridge. So, if I could get some...- fghtffyrobesity

Denon D1001 Question
It seems pretty durable to me. The single wires that split apart are about double the thickness as your standard iPod earbuds. The connector is also very sturdy. The picture is the connector compared to a AA battery. If you have any other questions, feel free to message me. I really...- fghtffyrobesity

Is the economy affecting your sound?
Since I am still in high school, the only payments I have to make are for car, insurance and gasoline. Otherwise, everything else is mine (with some in savings of course)- fghtffyrobesity

Being a stock picture and stock details, I would assume they are fake. As for everywhere being $160+, amazon has them for $99 from Beach Camera which is a legit company.- fghtffyrobesity

Denon AHD1001:A Beginners Review
Before I start, I would just like a put a disclaimer saying that these are my first pair of headphones that cost more than $20 and I do not have any other experience as to if they sound better, worse or the same as any other headphone. All statements are based off just these headphones. With...- fghtffyrobesity

denon d1001 isolation
As for isolation of outside noise, they don't do too much. If your music is at about 10% volume, you can hear everyone word for word. If you bump it up to 25%, you can barely hear people and at 50% (for me thats as loud as you can get before its too loud) you can't hear anything. As for...- fghtffyrobesity

ATH-ES7: Any good?
I don't mean you answer for him, but I thought I would just try and get you an answer as fast as possible. Since the clamping pressure on the ES7's are quite strong, they push against the things wire (the part that bends when you close it....like....what sits on your ears) and then against...- fghtffyrobesity

Where to buy a FiiO E5
As it turns out, MP4Nation offers the option to buy without an account, but they won't let you for some reason. I created an account and bought it there. Where to buy a FiiO E5
I did a search on google but the only places I could find to buy them were from MP4Nation, which isn't working for me and from DealExtreme where it says they are on Pre-Order. There is one from HeadDirect, but it is $28 which is more than I was wanting to pay for something only worth $20. So...- fghtffyrobesity
