I think someone had a freq response between the two showing very similar results. But yes, I do agree with you. For me, I get a touch more openness (word check) with the Valour. Very slight though. Slight enough to be mind tricks for sure lol.

I have both on the desk and I'd say both are equal in detail retrieval, however the GT's mid freq are slightly pushed back and a warmer overall sound, so it can give that impression. I prefer the GT for sure. It suits my sound preferences really well.

I would definitely go black. It looks really nice imo. The silver is also nice, but the black looks so elegant.

They are both very different for sure. The GT suits my sound preference, but there are some instances where I like the 2. BTW, both weigh the same. I also thought the GT was lighter when I wore them, but after putting them on the scale, I realized they are pretty much the exact same.

Agreed! I believe they are around the same weight as the ZMF Atrium, and I found the GT more comfortable and balanced on my dome.

Interesting. I have mine running in some high-wattage (not high end) amp/dacs, however they seem like they need a lot more juice. Perhaps your impression was due to the high output voltage that violectirc pushes (my friend uses that amp for his Tungstens DS). I have a Violectric V222 on the way...

Very easy! It's magnetic and press fit. So just pull them off and when you place them back on, just press down till it's made contact at the base. Be mindful of L & R (stickers on the back)

I found the pads make a noticeable sound difference. The Velour pads make it sound more airy and relaxed, and are super comfortable. Leather is more intimate and punchy. I like both options.

I believe it only comes in a 4.4.
