I really liked the pads on carl's 701. I am going to have to get those for my 702s for sure. I have to say, the Utopia to me was a little boomy. It was clear, maybe just a tad bit loose in the bass department. the highs sparkled and the mid range was present....but the low end kinda drowned...

Was great to see (and listen) to the single power amps, both of them. Always good to see these guys...had a great time.

Check out bikes direct. Can get a decent starter 29er for around that.   Maybe a speicalized rockhopper 29er.   If you dont go 29er, a decent starter 26er could be an option for ya. Since you not really doing much technical trails a 26er might be perfect.

whats the range you looking? Price wise...what type of riding do you do?

Its a 2011 Trek Cobia, well..only the Frame, Fork, RD/FD is stock, everything else ive changed over. Love the 29er.   If you talking about the road bike, its a 2011 Trek 1.2

Been doing mountain for a long time...just got into road biking.
