Apparently, there is a NOS/OS mode switch in the back. I assume it’ll be sorta like how the pre-amp switch is on the EH1. Huzzah! Now to see if there are more input options on the EH2. That makes more sense in an upgrade model imho.

Fwiw, ifi Power X is a pretty good upgrade to the stock power supply. I'm not A-B testing it, but the difference is noticeable even out of the 4.4mm headphone out. Not night and day, but a step up.

I do believe one pattern specifically with the HD6 series of headphones is as the stock pads compress down, the bass does increase slightly due to ear closing distance from the driver. And if you're like me, the 660S2 gets a lot of time on the ol' cranium.

I would love it if the Pro did for planars as the non-pro version did for biocel closed backs. Imho FiiO has had a lot of success the past couple of years, given the fact that I've always preferred Cayin or Shanling's house sound more than FiiO's, but here we are.

I switched over to the hybrid pads from the protein and EQ’d the upper mids down a bit to get just the right balance (for me) with the bass and treble.
