Sonic impact T-Amp question.
well I went to radio shack and bought a size N 5.5mm OD x 2.5mm ID plug, it fits but it seems too short or something because it pops out really easily when plugged into the amp. Anybody recommend a plug that they have used successfully?- werdwerdus

Sonic impact T-Amp question.
I'm using an Astron RS-12A psu (ordered the 7A but the seller sent me the 12A on accident!) and for now I had to cut the stock power cord off to use the coaxial plug end, it looks a little hacky.- werdwerdus

Sonic impact T-Amp question.
Can someone tell me the size of the power plug? I want to make a DIY cord to connect to the PSU but I can't find any specification on the size. My best guess is 2.5mm x 5.5mm or 2.1mm x 5.5mm. Would Radioshack have these in a store?- werdwerdus

Polk Audio R50
So frys.com has the R50 again for $69.99 each. So I'm again considering getting them. Should they work well with the Sonic Impact T-amp? meh, I just ordered them. Shipping was $15 cheaper doing two separate orders, one speaker each, than it was ordering both together. Strange. -

Just discovered Shorten Files (.shn) - Thoughts?
shorten doesn't have tags... so not useful to me. also much worse compression. just use foobar2000 to convert to FLAC- werdwerdus

Which shipping service do you prefer?
I've had a few packages delivered by UPS that look like someone SAT on my box and crushed it a little bit. And UPS isn't always accurate for their estimated delivery times, sometimes it will arrive in my city but not be sent out for delivery for 1 - 3 more days. Fedex tends to be more acceptable...- werdwerdus

YES i almost forgot to check shirt.woot tonight!! I was hoping this one would win the Derby but at least they are selling it. In for one, thanks! P.S. YEAHHHHH New iPods!!!!
wow this news is sad: http://www.boingboing.net/2007/09/14...eengineer.html Quote: The latest iPods have a cryptographic "checksum" in their song databases that prevents third-party applications from synching with the portable music players. New computer..what specs to go for?
If you truly are only going to be using it for internet browsing and "general use", buy a pre-built one with 1GB of ram or more for around $500, and just buy the biggest hard drive you can afford. You won't need a fast, powerful video card or cpu to do basic tasks.- werdwerdus

YEAHHHHH New iPods!!!!
I like the new nano form factor, and the 160GB Classic actually surprised me. I was excpeting 80GB or maybe 100GB but not 160. I still use my 1st Gen Shuffle every once in a blue moon, since I don't really have any need for a portable music player currently. Anybody want to buy a 3rd Gen 40GB? :-)- werdwerdus
