Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread
Looks like Takstar is going to be OEMing their Pro 82 as a gaming headset. I wonder how these will perform compared to the Pro 82 itself where it is based from https://thetechrevolutionist.com/2018/06/cooler-master-new-gaming-headsets-roundup-mh751-and-mh752.html- joshuadapitan

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread
Comparison of Pro 82 against M40x in Monitoring and Music enjoyment Build wise, I feel that the Pro 82 will be more prone to destruction than the M40x, but the Pro 82 has smoother articulation on its moving parts. No squeaky squeaky sounds at all. On Comfort, Pro 82 wins easy, it was , the...- joshuadapitan

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread
Impressions on Pro 82 SQ Wise. Some of my observations with my first 2 days of use. Used sources for the initial impressions: Phonic Mixer, Cayin N3. Easy to drive cans. Yes, they are transparent, to the capabilities of the audio equipment. I tried plugging my Pro 82 on a phonic mixer and I...- joshuadapitan

Review by 'joshuadapitan' on item 'KZ ZST In-ear Earphone Latest HiFi Sports Hi-Fi Headphones with Noise Cancelling and Mic Replacement Cable with Mic'
I bought this because there is hype on these ZST. I mean, cheap enough(Again I am into chi-fi), with a BA. No need to explain some ergonomical issues since they are explained into pros and cons. Now to evaluate sound signature with these ZST Sound signature on Stock wire: Bass: Bass is kind of...- joshuadapitan

Comment by 'joshuadapitan' in article 'Superlux HD661 Anti-Sibilance and Comfort Mod'
Updates on the mod, they do not shrill at all, but the mids are a little scooped from the ideal but still, the details are still present. No more richness of mids, and most importantly, no more shrilly zingy sound ever, in the latest modding as far as my ears perceive them.- joshuadapitan

Review by 'joshuadapitan' on item 'Venture Electronics (VE) Monk+/Monk Plus'
I have purchased the Monk plus because of a.) The hype b.) Nostalgia on earbuds. Note: I am reviewing the Espresso Edition monks Build: I respect the build of these CHi-Fi(Cheap HiFi or Chinese HiFi, pick your poison) earbuds. The cable is not so much tangly, but they still know how to do...- joshuadapitan

Strange Issues with Fiio K1 DAC
I think that unit is a defective unit. I mean, I am using a sensitive IEM with the FiiO K1 but it doesn't pop on track changes(maybe your player, your headphones, are the ones that does it).- joshuadapitan

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
Yes, I confirm they are a treble cannon headphones. To be honest, I mostly use them for monitoring. I find those treble cannon headphones does not hurt when used with a phone, or a dedicated studio mixer (of course with the mod applied), but when on amps, they seem to be unforgiving. I forgot to...- joshuadapitan

Review of soundmagic es10 , es18 , creative ep600 , cowon ce1 , jbl tempo in ear , review of philips she 3590 , feat the she 3580 rp-hj3 120 and panasonic rp-hje355 . and more .
They sound good, They have good imaging and soundstage, but they got no justice to the bass, until you burn them in(I burned them in with my FiiO K1), and mod them with New Bee eartips, Now they seem to be a balance of balanced and fun, slight u shape but without being extreme at extreme...- joshuadapitan

Superlux HD661 Anti-Sibilance and Comfort Mod
Introduction: Superlux HD661 is Superlux's cheap clone to the Sony's legendary MDR-7506(Minus the Audio Technica Wing-Type headband). Due to Superlux carelessly aiming for the MDR-7506 frequency response(Since they could also aim for Balanced Frequency response because Sony designed the 7506...- joshuadapitan

Headphones...To mod or not to mod?
For me, try reversible mods first One of the example mods that are reversible is swapping pads(if your headphone does accomodate pad replacement), or putting paper towel in between the pads and the driver.- joshuadapitan

Has anything come out that's better than the HD668Bs for the price?
HD661 for the imaging and overall balanced spectrum and smooth response with a sweet sub-bass rumble, the treble is Grado level though.- joshuadapitan

Review by 'joshuadapitan' on item 'AudioQuest - Jitterbug USB Filter'
Foreword: In the audiophile world, there is a lot of "Snake Oil". Buy this and it improves audio, buy this and blah blah blah blah blah blah. Review by 'joshuadapitan' on item 'Superlux HD661'
Something about me before the review: I started live mixing as of April 2017 every Sundays. Still quite the amateur but I am quite learning about live mixing I am formerly a bassist. I prefer fun-neutral sound signature. A some sort of V-shaped or M-Shaped Frequency response to help me hear the...- joshuadapitan

Best Under $350 Studio Monitor Headphones?
Same here. I find them to be quite sensitive enough on the mixer to do monitoring/live mixing work. But the only color available in my local store is pink, so I also have to deal with the pinkiness of my monitor- joshuadapitan

[Review] Superlux HD661, Superlux Did It Again!
I agree about the sibilant, piercing sound of the 661's but once they are burned in the treble becomes recessed, and the bass shows up more. Just burned my headphones for about 8 hours and they become worthwhile to listen.- joshuadapitan
