sounds about right in a nutshell. The increased lower end enables a more enjoyable sound for me, it’s a fuller bodied sound with more weight to it. Still analytical but less cold than the 800 and 800s to lesser extend. I love my 820

I can only speak for Question 1: My friends PM1 sounded exactly the same as my PM2 - according to Oppo it's only comsetic differences. The PM-2 is a great looking headphone but the PM-1 looks even more refined and luxurious.
