last month my Zero's right earpiece also breaking apart, but then I superglued them and it is solid, no problem so far..   SQ wise, I'm loving this IEM... I take it on the bus & subway, the isolation is enough for me to hear the music's detail albeit the bass department sometimes unclear...

for now, the downside from you guys is about sibilant issue.. coming from RE-ZERO, will I find it irritating issue? anyone have these two phone to confirm this?   what about the build quality? I'm reading that some of the parts are not glued properly..

you can try soundmagic pl 30 for comfort... or maybe superlux hd 381 series (hybrid earbud & IEM design)...   I have both of them, and I can say that they really disappear in my ear when I use them and can hear them for hours without problem..

yupe, I think one year warranty is standard for any electronic device/gadget, why should sony make it so short... and to make it worse, EX1000 is not cheap either..   XBA series with one year warranty is preferable..

it's the "burn in" effect...   yes, after I don't use my IEM for a long time, I think the sound feel a little different.. but I think that's because my brain is already forgot about what they actually sounds like and starts to adapt to the sound again...    

Yupe, for 1K, everyone would definitely go for Custom.. $100 - $549 is make sense for me, although maybe not the best bang for the buck...

wow, 1K USD for unversal IEM...   to set the price on par with EX1000 just more make sense.. 

besides the bass, what about the mid & treble presentation? is it great?

will the XBA-4 price tag be set higher than EX1000?

I have used Creative product since 2000, the first is Creative Sound Blaster Live! In 2001, I bought Creative Cambridge Soundworks SW320 Speakers (still in use)... And in 2006, I bought Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ES version (still in use @desktop pc at home)...   And it will be a pleasure...
