iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

I'm on my third pair of IT01, they are great, but so much driver flex. At times it almost seems like they are being damaged. First two pair were warrantied due to noticeable changes to sound quality in the side with most driver flex.

Because I had to send my Kanas Pro all the way back to China to be repaired, I decided to get some replacements for the interim. I picked up some Etymotic ER2XR (was done with chi-fi due to warranty issues) and they are pretty similar to the KPE. Even though I got the XR, they are more neutral...

Got a hold of Moondrop via their facebook site, they were friendly and helpful. Only problem, I need to send in my KPE, have them repaired, and then sent back from China. I may be without them for months :(.

Yes, I found another cable, it is the right IEM it seems. It is much quieter than the other, although not silent as I originally thought. Grrr, I love these damn things, but think I'm outside the warranty window.

Has anyone had any luck with warranty for their Massdrop KPE? Mine just turned 7 months old and the right IEM stopped working completely, not just muted, no sound at all. It might be the cable, so I need to get another .78 2-pin to test, but I want to get it resolved as early as possible just in...

JVC Spiral Dot Size ML took 6 weeks to come from Japan, but so worth it. I usually use the standard M, but I believe the large nozzle size on the KPE changed that up a bit. The ML give me such a nice seal and boost the subbass and soundstage for me! :)

Can anyone verify, were we supposed to receive 2 pair each of 3 different sizes only, or should there have been 6 different sizes? I have 2 different size ear canals, and it makes sizing tough. :(

The stock KPE tips are quite good, I'm not impressed with the lack of sizing though. Did everyone else get just 6 pairs, (2 pair large, 2 pair M, 2 pair S) only 3 different sizes in total?

Sounds good! I might cut and fit the foam they came in into the circle. That would keep them very safe I think! Thanks for the suggestions guys.

3D printed this to protect my new toy: Didn't trust the little velvet pouch in my bag. Edit: If anyone wants one, or something similar, I would print it and ship it at cost for you, just PM me!

I don't get why BGVP opted to use plastic for higher-end models and aluminum for the DMG, the aluminum casings just feel right. Is it for sound/resonance/vibration or cost reasons?

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

I really have to give a shout-out to @Paul - iBasso, who went beyond the call of duty on a recent warranty. Great customer service and standing behind their products. As of yesterday I am officially saving up for advanced iBasso gear - perhaps IT03 or a DAP. Thanks Paul!

I had a loose MMCX and when I removed the left IEM from the connection and reinserted it, my cable prong broke off and one of the prongs on my left IEM broke as well. :triportsad: Sent an e-mail to Paul hoping it can be warrantied, they are only 7 months old, my third pair. No problem! I just got confused for a bit because I see people say KPE and on Amazon they say KANAS PRO EDITION, but then on Massdrop it just says KANAS PRO, but people were calling them KPE. Thanks for the clarification friends.

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

Wow, IT01 really come alive from some EQ. I was a bit skeptical at first, for example, it calls for -24.8 dB at ~17000, but after I use them without EQ, I definitely notice that high freq spike, and am unsure how I didn't find it so fatiguing before.
