Woo Audio WA24 - 20th Anniversary Edition flagship Headphone Amplifier
That looks slightly different than the custom ones Woo is using, and I'm sure a MATCHED quad is needed.....so probably more $.- MasonStorm

Woo Audio WA23.....
Hello AcousticMatt, Did you get a chance to try your WA23 and Feliks Envy as preamps into your speaker system? I have an electrostatic speaker system and am thinking one of these SET preamps would be just the thing to "soften it up." If you did, was one clearly better than the other as a preamp?- MasonStorm

Introducing the Warwick Acoustics APERIO - GoldenSound Signature Edition!
If an owner were to take advantage of the trade-up program and send in their original Aperio, does Warwick literally take apart their old unit and change out the parts to turn it into a GSE edition, or do they accept the old unit as tribute (recycling the parts therein) and instead send out a...- MasonStorm

HIFIMAN Shangri-La: The New Electrostatic Headphones From HIFIMAN
I own the Shangri-La Senior system (including HiFiMan’s own charger) and just want to encourage you to have a proper listen when you get the chance. This is one of those setups where what you get out of it will be directly proportional to what you put into it. This system is so ruthlessly...- MasonStorm

Woo's New Flagship WA33
I think theveterans is saying that the WA33 is a good amp to use with the Immanis via the Raal Transformer Interface, and I hope to find the same thing when I get an Immanis (hopefully next year).- MasonStorm

Woo's New Flagship WA33
Very much sharing the same question! I just recently became aware of the existence of the Mass-KOBO 465, and of the great accolades/furor it seems to be receiving/generating. Can’t help but wonder how it compares to a WA-33 EE w/JPS wiring and upgraded tubes, although one notes immediately...- MasonStorm

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
I'm interested in the Viva amplifiers, and recall that in one of the Abyss videos made by Joe and his sons, that they recommended against them due to problems that these amps caused for the headphones due to the amp's startup sequence. I've been Googling around for a while, trying to learn what...- MasonStorm

Woo's New Flagship WA33
The ones that Woo used to sell (and that used to be available from many other online sources) were the 2A3 HP, which had a slightly different size, appearance, and a white base. Three of my four original HP's are still working, and I had one of the non-HP kind to roll in and try, but they don't...- MasonStorm

Warwick Acoustics APERIO and BRAVURA
If it weren't a terrible inconvenience, Warwick could set up a whole new buying option to address people's FOMO, in which one could choose the base electronics unit's color separately from the headset (e.g., order the silver base unit and the gold headphones :o2smile:). On a more realistic...- MasonStorm

Warwick Acoustics APERIO and BRAVURA
At this point I'm completely uncertain. While it would take quite a while to save up the money for any Aperio, it would take a lot longer to save the additional money for the gold version. Furthermore, its looks are frankly ostentatious, both repellant and mesmerizing in the very same second...- MasonStorm

Warwick Acoustics APERIO and BRAVURA
I can't believe it, but the Warwick Aperio website reports that the gold version has more carefully-selected, better-matched driver pairs. Has anyone heard the gold Aperio and compared it to the sound of the other colors? If so, did you find the difference audible?- MasonStorm

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
To my ears, the SuperConductor cables made it an overall more balanced presentation for either headphone: voices sounded more natural on the 1266, and on the Utopia, bass was brought out and tizzy highs were tamed.- MasonStorm

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
Hi Tony! I concur and want to recommend to you to try the Utopias with a good tube amp and the JPS Labs Superconductor headphone cables (although you'll need an adapter to hook them up). I use that arrangement of the Utopia with my Woo Audio WA-234's (selecting tubes that bring out the bass)...- MasonStorm
