Mid priced IEM cables thread. NEW!! Penon OSG. Silver plated copper with graphene?

Been using the Nicehck Darkjade with IMR EDP and Semper and I like what I'm hearing. One of my favorite cables and there is a nice synergy with IMR IEM. The sound is more copper like to my ears than SPC or silver (which is my preference). Darkjade improves the background darkness, tighten up the...

Fresh From The Oven: iBasso P5 "Falcon"

Interesting. Haven't hear an amp that is better than fi.quest yet. Will wait for my local dealers to have P5 instock for audition before making the decision as to should i buy P5 or not. I suspect the battery life will be quite short if i'm to run P5 as per my fi.quest config.

    The Opamp thread

Yup. I know Phillips bought over Signetics, and there is JRC and TI who make them too. Signetics ne5534/5532 made in the 80s are the best sounding version and may be one of the best sounding opamp ever according to most including Dr. Xin. The one I had are made in 1983

Spud, what buffer are you using in the last pic? Currently using Signetics NE5534AN OBCA with 4* HA5002 and 2* buf634 on my mad dog fi.quest. Prefer ne5534 to muse01 & muse02 atm

    Xin Feng amp owners?

I'm still using my micro iv and mini iv on rotation basis. To me, micro and mini is still unbeatable when you factor in size, price and most importantly sq. A waste that i didn't get to own a macro iv myself.

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

Rooth demos: the evaluation of Rooth lineup – liquid clarity

I will suggest either lsx5 or ls10. Lsx5 imo fair better in bass and vocal while offering smooth treble. Ls10 offer more details and extension across the spectrums. Ls10 is also the smoothest and the most liquid sounding of entire rooth lineup but lack the texture and bass reverb of lsx5. Ls8+...

Pictures Of Your Portable Rig (part XV)

This is not my serious rig. It only for ultra portable use when it not practical to carry my h140 and d10 out. The extension cable is made by monster. That the best i can get. If only there is a 3.5mm jack that is small in diameter.   Anyway, i doubt there is a better looking case to my eye...

Anything in current production that can match the Xin SuperMicro (size/quality/price)?

Quote:   Sorry. I indeed lost you. my bad. I'm inferring that such imitation/rip off does exist. But not for Xin amp afaik. All in the nutshell, I'm trying to bring across my earlier point. "Every amp maker have their own design philosophy. They wants to be recognize and and be unique...

Quote: I very sure the components of SMIV is not worth $100. But in audio, we are paying for their R&D and sound   The copying part, I'm sure most of us will go with the more reputable/original maker. There is reason why those shameless makers did not make the mark. Even Little Dot...
