That's great to hear @antdroid ! I don't think anyone has made wooden cups except for me, I have made a CAD model of the cup to either CNC or 3d print but I've never done anything with it.

Then there is my version which is a Version 2 with hand made wooden cups! The rarest version in existence. :o2smile: I can confirm this, I've been offering 3d-printed-replacement yokes for the HE-560 and HE-400i for the past year and while I've recieved quite a few requests last year I saw a...

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics

I'm running the Pulse XFI in original chassis, didn't install anything. I'm running driver version 10.0.17134.1 dated 11-4-2018 made by Microsoft.

Why would you use the LHL driver if Windows 10 supports it natively?

The firmware files I got are for all Pulse models and are version 2V0 dating April and September 2016. I assume no further work has been done on these since.

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

I don't think he means the yokes but the plastic clamp that holds them to the metal headband. If you can't find a solution I'll probably be able to reproduce these and send them to you.

Just to add, Jarek responded very promptly and sent me the firmware files to test. I will test if this solves my Pulse not getting recognized by Windows a lot of the times I power it up.

Haha, all is good. I am /u/Moederbeer (motherbear in Dutch) on Reddit. I'm happy I've been able to provide a couple of people with some replacement parts so far, feels pretty good.

I don't enjoy the HE-560 with default Focus pads for extended time, the Focus-A pads solve this. I've measured a big difference around the 4.5KHz region.

Yes, I agree. However putting quite a lot of stress on a part that doesn't require it doesn't make much sense IMO. @antdroid Thanks a lot for letting me destroy your (broken) yokes and making me able to reproduce them. A lot of people are showing interest in these on Reddit and it feels good to...

First batch of yokes came out great, switched to 0.1mm layer height to improve tolerances and reduce post processing time. Took a total of 9 hours to print these. Also made two videos on how to remove the metal pivot (caveman style) and reassemble the new part. Removing the pivot...

@PantsUK :I looked into the shapeways thing and even have everything set-up and ready to sell but the products then manufacture have a grainy surface which would not be ideal if you'd want to glue two halves together seamlessly.

I haven't thought about shapeways yet, I'll look into that. If you want a pair or let me fix yours, send me a PM.

I have a lot of faith in the strenght of this part, I can bend it quite far without fearing it might snap. Like I said, I designed the part to have less stress on it compared to the original which also help. I have a lot of faith in the strenght of this part, I can bend it quite far without...

After a lot more of experimenting with the parts antdroid sent me I've been able to finish the design. These are almost 1:1 compared to the original but a little bit wider to reduce stress on the plastic. I've added pins to align the two parts while glueing and after sanding and rubbing it with...

Still looking for someone who would like to try a 3d printed yoke. Just send me your broken one and I'll send you back a fixed one. It's easy to unscrew the yoke from the headband.

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

I just shared these pictures in the HE-560 thread and figured people here would also like to see them. After cracking a yoke on my HE-560 I had to order a complete new headband with yokes from Hifiman. I used the broken one and designed/printed a custom yoke that adapts the HD600's cups to the...

I would be able to recreate the yokes in CAD, 3d print them in ABS and ship them if there is interest in them. I could do this for less than the $50 charged by Hifiman. You will need to break open your broken yokes and take out the metal insert, transfer this to the replacement and glue the two...

Does anyone here have the 2V0 firmware bin for a Pulse X FI that he/she can upload here? I've also been experiencing having to reboot my Pulse (sometimes several times) in order to have it work correctly over USB and I'm hoping a firmware reflash might solve the problem. Also, if I remember...

    PX100-II Review | Discussion Thread

I have cut my HD414 pads down to maken them smaller. I used a metal can to press down the foam and then used a craft knife to trim around the edges. Makes them smaller, less hot an less goofy. The sound didn't really change as far as I can tell. Also if you have an Android phone with...

The LPS is working fine, starts off at 12.03V and falls to 12.0V after around 15 min of warm up on the Pulse and LPS. Don't really know what more to say. It looks and feels very nice!

    PX100-II Review | Discussion Thread

I got these headphones two weeks ago second hand for 15 euro. At first I was not satisfied with the tonal balance of them, they were very bass heavy and this muffled all the highs. Then I bought a pair of HD414 pads to try, with only the 414 pads it sounded a lot better already but the highs had...

    HiFiMAN RE-272 Review

I still listen to my RE-272's from time to time and I don't think I'd ever be able to sell them. They are the most effortless headphones/IEMs I've ever heard, that's compared to stuff like the PX100-II/RE-262/HD600/HE-560. The only thing is that I wish they'd have is 3-6dB more bass energy...
