The most important part about in-ear anything, is the quality of cable. How quick will it wear out? How soon will a broken cable destroy your musical enjoyment?   That is the question of utmost importance!

After about a year of NOT POSTING, I have a negative review ready to be written.... soon.

Latest news: bending the headband does nothing to improve the sound. It's a placebo thing. I (carefully) bended it back in, to get back the secure fit on my ears.   Also, happy Nondenominational Winter Friendship Day.

Only the ones I ended up on, Grado SR80e. Everything that came before was inferior.   I wish there was an affordable pair of closed ones with a neutral response and detailed and warm sound.

I would order that headband if I had 50 dollars to spend.   However, if I had 50 dollars to spend, I would spend it on music instead (To Buy list of lengthy).

I read that several months ago. Not nearly enough info on the Koss models.

For no reason other than wanting to know more about the company and what it makes. If they literally have no good models aside from those 3 I listed, I guess this thread will be declared a failure.   EDIT: I did a fair amount of research and came to a conclusion that most respectable companies...

Been looking for a good, easy to drive pair of headphones to use outside. Bought Tascam TH-02, but the cable is too long and cups are just bad and hard.   So I decided to buy a pair of Koss, if I could find a relatively neutral model. That is easy to drive.   Minimal requirements...

I have 3 bass-heavy albums (mixed that way mostly unintentionally), and both AKG K240S and Grado SR80e handle the bass way better, with KSC75 being boomy and full of distortion in mid-bass when cranked up in volume.

I owned the clip-ons, and I can attest they had too much mid bass.

Bumping a 4 year old thread. Are the earcups replaceable?

Found out about these yesterday. Since I still need a good portable (°_°)phone, I have a question: which ones are more detailed and neutral:   -PX 95 -PMX 95 -iGrado   ?     I will get one of these, but I do need help in choosing.

I realized yesterday that I have been listening to EVERYTHING on 1 to 3 bars of volume (out of 16). SR80e is the most efficient pair I have ever owned. I'd even say they are too efficient.

And from a year of constant audio editing, I can confirm that on OSX, AIFF and WAV sound different (one being cold while other warm) on every player. And to counter the inevitable placebo arguments, I was not looking for a difference; I discovered it by accident.

Do you? Please explain how one uncompressed lossless format differs from another.
