Got the HE6se with speaker adapter and tried it out. It felt bright and sometimes harsh in UL mode whereas TR was softer but resolution suffered. The R8 currently only has about 30 hours on it so I think both the amp and the HE6se need more time to burn in. Perhaps the HE adapter also...

Love the color and finish for sure. However, I am a bit confused. Did Cayin lower the MSRP of this amp? MusicTeck is showing $ 1999 and not $ 2500. Also didn't the tubes come with the amp?
