The Hi-Fi + Hi-Res Audiophiles' Bluetooth Headphone Adapter Thread - [8.Jul.20] Qudelix 5K impression added

That explains it! I always thought Oriolus was a Japanese company, but I guess the truth is somewhere in between. The 1795 is way to big to be of any use. Might as well clip a DAP (again who would do this) to your shirt if you want to use this?

The Hi-Fi + Hi-Res Audiophiles' Bluetooth Headphone Adapter Thread - [8.Jul.20] Qudelix 5K impression added

I really hope future versions of these adapters can have wireless charging. These small electronic devices I think benefit the most from that. They are small mAh so doesn't take long anyway, and also less chance to break the little door or connector.

What how did you get one? I checked and it's not available anymore?

New Shure RMCE-BT2 (tested with SE535)

Ouch. This shouldn't be a firmware thing. Connection is a pretty basic necessity. Otherwise a lot of other people would be complaining of the same thing and they'd be doing a mass recall. I get garbled audio only when I get interference. The range isn't amazing like @TK33 I only walk about...

New Shure RMCE-BT2 (tested with SE535)

I just got one, and the audio quality is decent. I'm starting to really hate having cables dangle around, and having to finagle with a player amp stack. The clip is solid and a bit too tight I think, but it's very slim and does it's job. I got cutouts at weird places that I didn't with my...

Meet the Sennheiser IE 800 S

Hm... Not sure how they made it worse than the original? I have the originals still and use them at work. They sound great driven with enough power. The review doesn't say what they used. Driving from a cell phone it's normally pretty lackluster kinda like what was described. Curious though...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Agree that for the isine 20, I like how the sound is so different and like others have mentioned not stuck in ear canal like a regular IEM. However, the open design really is itself detrimental to commute use. While it's safer that I can easily hear surrounding ambient noise, the music...

    Audeze LCD-4

Yeah but you'll always get the people who will spend more money on their cables for their headphones than the actual headphone itself, like it's supposed to all of a sudden make a headphone better by twofold instead of getting maybe a different or more expensive headphone.  They sure look nice...

OPPO Introduces Sonica: A $299 High Fidelity Wi-Fi Speaker

3.5" woofer is not too bad.  Hopefully it's finally a smaller sized speaker that sounds good enough.  I can't setup a bookshelf system in every small room!

LH Labs' gorgeous Vi Dac ( Tube + SS outputs )

Finally got my shipping invoice for my Vi Tube.  Shipped to Hong Kong it's cheaper than AUS since I am guess no import duties.  ~165 USD.  Almost the same.  Can't wait!

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics

Well the Vi Infinity has a similar makeup, and costs the same as the Yggy.  Would that be a fair fight?  I'm not sure.  The Vi DAC was exciting a year ago.  Now, not so much but I'm still waiting... tic toc.

    Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!

Are you seriously giving me a lecture on humanity?  What did Beats ever do to your humanity?  And you totally missed that I was sarcastic in my original post, so you're clearly a robot trying to lecture me on humanity, which is why you're missing the boat.

@nordkapp- you check your mobile phone?  Pretty sure that's made in China too.  Toxins are not a Chinese specialty.  In fact some of that tech came from the states/developed countries.  You see that article on a lawyer's fight against DuPont?  Makes you think twice before using a non stick pot.

Geek Pulse: Geek desktop DAC/AMP by Light Harmonics

Maybe they will.  They are probably both at CES and both busy.   It's large indeed.  The screen itself is monstrous.  I'm not sure you really need such a large screen when most people will be controlling it via iPad or other mobile devices with superior screens.  I agree with what others are...

    Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!

The only thing I know for sure on Balanced is that it's louder than single ended coming from the same source.  Sometimes I think it sounds better.  Sometimes I just like the connection better.  But yeah for devices with only single ended, it was designed just for that and should sound great as...

    Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!

Has anybody figured out what the washer is that they put into the HD800S?  Seems like it's easy enough to get a similar size one and shove it in the HD800 to test.

    Does plex stream lossless?

Yeah it's limited at CD quality from my research.  But you can do the passthrough option which could just pass it on to the destination instead of decoding itself.  Plex can decode pretty much anything out there, so you're running into the risk of your device not being able to handle what it's...

    iPhone 6s Sound Quality

I don't think the difference is huge especially for BA phones like the SE846.  It's really worth it with IE800s, but instead I've just chosen to relegate those to my work setup.  It's one way I justify having more than 1 IEM.  When I'm moving around, convenience is king.  Carrying a stack means...

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones

I'll translate for you.  Sell all your IEMs and buy the KSE1500.  It's the bees knees.  the holy moly.  The boom to your shakalaka.  You've never heard anything better.     Seriously though, when IEMs (yeah I know this includes a dac/amp) cost more than the TOTL headphones, I think it's time...

    *Official Schiit Magni/Modi 2 ( Uber ) Thread*

I've been tempted to buy cables because they really look good though.  I see this used one Viard in a marketplace for less than 200 bucks and I'm like wow that looks amazing.  The guy is selling because...  it's too heavy to use as a headphone cable.  So it really is just for show LOL.  The...
