    Light Harmonic Geek Wave

I have "invested" enough in LH analogues to exchange it for the Stella. What's the general consensus, are they worth it? I guess anything is better than pie-in-the sky amps..has any of you guys tried them?

the zip file has to be in the root folder (no matter sd card or default), so you would have to move it there and then the manual update will recognize it. Also, and maybe I'm the only who got confused: for the manual update the "SD card" is the internal memory and the external SD card is "default"

Hope you don't mind me asking: how much is Piotr asking for the custom tips? He already has impressions from the 8.2 I got last fall so that would be a very attractive possibility.

Hmm, not sure if I understand your problem then. I should add that I did most everything on my Mac: unzip the file and transfer the therein contained firmware zip file to the sd card. The read me file stayed on the laptop. I then inserted the sd card into the dx200 and followed the instructions

check out @tin427 and my post post from a few hours ago, also @ExpatinJapan has quick guide in his review.   Essentially you need to download the firmware, unzip it and then transfer the zip file within that first zip file to the root folder. It's like a two-layered russian doll :)

Never mind, I figured it out. Not sure if this is a Mac thing, but anyway I didn't  realize that the zip file I downloaded from iBasso needed to be unzipped to get to the ota. zip file

This is my first firmware update on the DX200 and somehow I don't succeed: I dl'ed the V2.0.78Beta unto my SD card (root folder) and followed the instructions in the manual. Going to system update>local upadate>default> there are two V2.0.78Beta listed (?). With either one I get the error...

Yeah, I'm a little surprised that B&H charges a premium, it's usually not their style. I've been wondering if the $869 is for real or was jus and estimated US retail price from @Paul - iBasso

Same here. HOWEVER, if I wait a little (ca. 20s) it will adjust by itself and the sound "comes back". I'm just now patient enough to wait That long every time I insert Vega@Spinfit.

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV

I had a 2-pin male to MMCX female adapter cable made by @PETEREK (for my Ref8). Came out very nice. I prefer cable adapters, (presumably) less force on the iems.

Thanks, good to know. I really liked the Onkyo DP-X1 & Alo CV5 & ALo Vega combo, but wasn't impressed at all when I switched the DP-X1 for the WM1A

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

I have a somewhat related question: If I want to use an amp with the WM1A, does it matter sq-wise if I use the balanced vs SE out? Also, does it make sense to ramp the volume up to 100% in order to minimize degradation through attenuation?

Ah, so you like that better than the ref8? Excuse my curiosity. I have both too and can't decide which on I like better. Ususally it's the one I use at the very moment
