As @slitzx said it may have been a quality control issue with the PM4s on my end too. I'm not sensitive to sibilance generally but they were unbearable, still early days with the Masters but they're improved in every regard.

Yep. Popping/clicking has been a problem when using as a Mac/Linux DAC since 2.4.0 You just need to go back to 2.3.0 for a working version.

Yeah I'm in the UK so I went through the Borderlinx forwarding service. I will have to pay an additional shipping fee but it will still work out much cheaper than buying the A1 and H6 here.

Yep it's the amp - it only outputs 200mw at 32ohm so will output very little to the 300 ohms of the HD650. Even FiiO state it should only be used for 1-150 ohm headphones.    I would steer clear of portable amps for the HD650 - I know you mentioned the Alpen 2 but I can't see how that would be...

There are plenty of Sennheiser IEM fakes but never heard of HD650 fakes. The closest I can think of is selling a HD650 headband with HD580 or HD600 drivers but again I see this as unlikely.   You're covered by Amazon anyway so I don't see a risk in buying from a third party.

The e10k definitely has a headphone amp, not sure where you got that information - that's why it also has a line out.   EDIT - @SirMarc got there first...

Anyone had issues yet with the 1gb partition for apps? This seems ridiculously small for an android device. I have only installed a few different media players and chrome and I'm already at 700mb. Is there a way to install apps onto the main internal drive or onto the external sd?   I'm okay...
