With the death of LG Mobile on the horizon, what phone will you move to next?
Of course, the downside to buying from China is that ASUS can use that fact to weasel out of honouring the warranty should anything go wong with the phone. My screen started to fail and ASUS said I had to return the phone to the reseller in China in order to get it looked at under warranty. ASUS...- Marmite

I rarely buy from a local store - they only officially sell neutered versions of common brands where I am (Thailand) at insane prices, so our last 6 phones have all be bought direct from China.- Marmite

Depends on pairings in my experience. My V30, V35 and ROG5 sound better with my DT990 Pros and my Topping D3 sounds better with my HD6XXs.- Marmite

Is that opinion based on actually hearing a phone with a Sabre DAC compared directly to a dongle?- Marmite

I got my ROG 5 a week ago and am very happy. It has a cracking battery (unlike my old V30), great speakers and a massive screen with no bloody holes or notches. UAPP works great (I got some help from the awesome developer, Davy) and drives my 250 Ohm headphones beautifully. I never used MQA...- Marmite

LG V40 ThinQ
One Sabre device has 'artifacts' and one Sabre device doesn't, so its 'Sabre glare'? Maybe its just V40 glare? Maybe its reviewer bias? Who knows..?- Marmite

Interesting. I don't think I've ever compared the LG app with UAPP. I'll have to give it a go. I did try the bundled B&O IEMs today for the first time since I got the phone a year or so ago. I put them straight back in the box after about 5 seconds.- Marmite

If you're on AT&T I have a V35 I would sell. I'm having problems unlocking it for use here in Thailand. Somewhere around $300 plus shipping is a fair price in my opinion.- Marmite

I only have experience of the Topping D3. It drives them a little more than the V30 does and I prefer to pair my 6XXs with it than the V30. I think it's around $100 now. there's a thread on here somewhere about it if you're after an affordable amp.- Marmite

I share your worries about wasting money on stuff that you're not happy with. My ears are probably a bit knackered after playing in rock bands when I was young and sexy but I find the Beyer DT990s much more exciting when listening to rock/metal, whatever the source. The 6XXs do work really...- Marmite

I have the 6XX headphones. They get loud enough, but I think the headphones are pretty dull sounding with the V30 as well as other sources.- Marmite

Here's my Raspberry Rose LG V35. Cost me around $250 all in, but I need to change the rear cover as the rose one is for a V30 and the camera doesn't quite line up. The top of the panel doesn't fit flush with the frame either. I've got a V35 back in black arriving in a couple of days. I...- Marmite

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!
I've given up with AMD. Even with great specs on paper, Intel + Nvidia always works better for me and without the issues AMD gear always seem to have. All my new company workstation PCs will be Intel moving forward as I take on new staff and gradually replace the poor performing AMD machines.- Marmite
