If you are looking for great sound I wouldn't worry about the looks too much because some of the really good sounding headphones are not necessarily the best looking. You want style, go grab some Beats or Skullcandy and fit in with the rest of the herd.

I agree...the Beats are just plain bad, at any price. I will admit I have and do use some Monster cables. 

I love my Grados but I don't think I would recommend them for someone that listens to bass. I think you will be disappointed by the lack of boomy bass. I really like my Beyerdynamic 770/80 Pro's for the fantastic bass they have but they lack in the midrange which for the music I like doesn't...
