Does anyone have experience with using the headphone outputs (with dedicated headphone amp section) of these brands? - Accuphase preamps (like C-3900) - Accuphase integrateds (like E-5000 or E-800) - Aurender A30 or A20

Mine is completely silent as was my Jot 1. DAC is Bifrost 2/64 connected via XLR, nothing else is connected to the Jot. I used to have a Lokius inbetween connected via XLR and RCA, had no noise then as well.

Another vote for Forza here, I'm using the Noir Hybrid HPC. Not that the cables are cheap but they're a lot more reasonably priced than competitors.

Ok, I'd go for the tubeless option then and look for a pair of Takatsuki around 1600€. 600€ less and another 800€ since I would have taken the upgraded Full Music tubes makes only a 200€ difference. Or are the Full Music tubes really good as well?

How much price reduction is there for tubeless?

Thank you, very helpful. Positive for me on point 1 and 3. 2 is harder to tell, I don't especially need o9ldschool 300B sound but it should at least sound tubey compared to a solid state amp for me.

I'm considering getting the Envy amplifier but 3 questions are on my mind: - is the background absolutely balck or do some people have problems wit hiss/hum? - does it have the typical 300B sound: dreamy mids, not bright and a bit bloomy bass? - is the amp fully balanced internally?
