For non 6SN7 options I really like the G73R, 1960s Mullard ECC82, and Brimar CV4003 12AU7 variants.

I also recommend trying to connect the Yggy to a computer and see if the problem persists. Usually the Yggy will recognize the connection without the user having to manually select the connection type. I also have an OG A2 and have never had a problem but I have never tried connecting to a phone.

The Envy competes with and surpasses most TOTL SS amps in terns of details. With the right tubes and chain, Envy is hard to beat.
