Earsonics SM3 Tip Replacement Help!
As the title says, I just lost 3 of the 4 included stock bi-flanges. T.T And I desperately need to find tips that fit/work well with the SM3's. I couldn't stand the comply tips as the sound became much warmer and the treble ever so more "recessed". I looked into the Sensorcom bi-flanges...- aznritard

Decision time... 3 IEM Battle?! (Westone 3, IE8, SM3)
Quote: I do know that the ie8 are known for having relatively (comparatively) poor isolation but I was veering a bit towards the sm3's as I can find them for 300 usd, where can I get the ie8's for less than 350? And how is the sound signature when compared to the sm3's? ...- aznritard

Decision time... 3 IEM Battle?! (Westone 3, IE8, SM3)
Help, and copious amounts of it... Like the title says I'm about to make my decision on my (to be) final universal iem purchase. I am going unamped (for now until I can get the cash for a nice amp) but basically I want this to be one of my last universal iems before I go custom. To...- aznritard

*EDIT* Starting to spend some serious cash! IEMs ($300 budget)
Okay so I'm pretty sure I'm going to narrow down my choices to the Westone 3, Earsonic SM3, Sennheiser IE8 and maybe a couple others but those are my main options at the moment. Can you guys give me a comparison between the two? And also I can't seem to fine the Westone for less than 340...- aznritard

...a lot well I am dishing out 300 dollars (USD) I may as well get something that covers a wide variety of music for that kind of money, no?!? *EDIT* Sound Signature: I decided to add a section on the type of sound signature I would like from the IEM's well because it would better...- aznritard

[*UPDATED*] M50s, are they the best for me? (most likely not anymore)
Quote: I checked out the HD558s and did a reevaluation on my thoughts on closed vs open cans. I think I'll try to stick to closed cans as the insulation is a big bonus and might become a necessity. Also, what would you describe the sound signature of the M50s as similar to? My...- aznritard

I'm planning to use them on the bus, home, school, library.... eh strike that I plan on using them just about anywhere. LOL In that case, if I'm not mistaken, I should be leaning towards closed cans I believe??- aznritard

[*UPDATED*] M50s, are they the best for me? (most likely not anymore)
Quote: Ah, see well I don't mind something small like the FIio E5 which is only 20 bucks, so in terms of money and size I am really fine with it. But yes it does make sense to see if its fine on the Zune first. Thank you.- aznritard

[*UPDATED*] M50s, are they the best for me? (most likely not anymore)
...on my IEM's the Meelectronics M9s which ran fairly loud on my zune and they came out to about 16 ohms.... With the M50's at 38 ohm's will a portable amp possibly one from Fiio be worth it? If so, what would you recommend I get as an amp? *keeping in mind this is meant to be a portable rig- aznritard

Ah, one last question... How is the fit/comfort when compared to the Sony MDR-7506? (they're what got me thinking that I might need to switch from an IEM background. I tried my friends for about an hour and half and wow... what a difference...) also, I found them to be quite portable as well...- aznritard

Wow thanks a lot guys! I'll be purchasing the headphones in about two weeks T.T (no excess money at the moment, I'm still a student) so I'll make sure to write a review (hopefully another 5 star recommendation like the rest) as soon as I get some burn in time with them. Thanks once again...- aznritard

Ah wow thanks for the quick responses ya'll. And yes Prices has risen as the demand for the headphones exploded I believe. They're 147 on amazon the last time I checked but I'm planning on buying them for a hundred off ebay (safe, or not?) which puts them at the limit for my budget. ...- aznritard
