DX320MAX Ti The musical event worth the wait. ROHM X 4. !! NEW Firmware: 2.03 !!
Android 13. No they are just two years behind. I just want to know the processor. Ibasso is going to use the same "super processor" as usual or they are going to make something with decent specifications.- mrhizzo

Introducing Lotoo PAW Gold
I am really frustrated with Lotoo. I bought the Paw Gold in 2017 or 2018, I used very little, less than 50h. I had bought for a little more than one year and it was out of warranty, and the Lotoo simply didn't turned on at all. The device never left my home. But the store that I bought in...- mrhizzo

Introducing Shanling M7 - Portable Hi-Fi Android Player
I feel the M7 is like a FM radio, without any WOW factor, since I bought it a long time. For the nowadays nonsense like the Cayin N3 something that weights 650 grams, the Hiby RS8 that weights 585 grams... The M7 looked like a good toy at the time, and it looks nice, it's size it's not like I...- mrhizzo

Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000T
Maybe also the question of companies like A&K and others using SOC made in 2019, with support to wifi 5 only also contributes. 3000 dollars to have this kind of limitation due to a company making anything to squeeze more money in something that should last year's, it's really revolting.- mrhizzo

Introducing ONIX Overture XM5 - First Portable Player from ONIX
That's weird. Lotoo uses the Ingenic X1000 in the Lotoo Paw Gold Touch and there is no 20000 music limitations in the library. Shanling is using the Ingenic X2000, years more advanced, and can't handle more than this?- mrhizzo

iBasso DX180 4GB/128GB. Got your music? Enjoy the concert! Manual download on the 1st page of Firmware 1.01 Update.
Paul, sorry. I buy hardware from Ibasso since... I need to check, but it was in the beginning, I still have dap and cute dap and amp/DAC from your brand. But we are in 2024, the operational system is Android, programs are updated daily, and are getting heavier by the second. Heavier, not...- mrhizzo

DX320 ROHM dac chips, Android 11, AMP11MK2s. *******NEW FW: 2.07*******
Anyone can tell me if the Ibasso DX320 Edition X has the same problem of the regular version (the buttons basically click by themselves just by passing the fingers in the buttons, without even using force to press), it's so annoying.- mrhizzo

Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP
Hiby should at least for once, maintain the Android version of the players up to date, even if it was a once in the lifetime of the product, update. You already RELEASE YEARS OLD firmwares with TOP of the line products. Products that cost more than the top of the line and more expensive phone...- mrhizzo

Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP
That's a very powerful and interesting message. It would be very decent from Hiby's part to update VERY expensive and with still reasonable hardware, to the Android 11, like the Hiby R8 model.- mrhizzo

Introducing Shanling M7 - Portable Hi-Fi Android Player
Oh God, I completely forgot the heat of the player, at night, in my bed, UNDER the air conditioner, with it throwing the cold air STRAIGHT to me and consequently to the player. It's absurd. Absurd hot. I complained once and they said it's a "feature" to dissipate the heat". I am not even...- mrhizzo

HiBy RS2: dual card slots, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 8x--news and impressions thread
Is it any reasonable to use as a DAC for a smartphone? Comparing to a R6, for example. Only used for IEM, not headphones. It doesn't have any Qobuz or Tidal on-board, right? Only in the new R5 II...?- mrhizzo

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend
Oh, thank you for the reply. I use only with IEM, I don't use headphones. Also, I have one xDSD, like the xCAN, but I barely used, specially as a DAC. I guess it's pretty much because of my hate towards the micro USB cable/standard. Can you tell me how long it takes to charge the Gryphon? I...- mrhizzo

Astell&Kern A&futura SE180 - The First Modular DAP from Astell&Kern
Incredible. I was interested in the SE180 because of the still novelty of the tubes in a portable and read many and many problems with wifi, seriously... And the wifi is extremely weak in, I am sure, all models. I had and still have many, and getting near 1000 Mbits (1GB) in wifi, near any...- mrhizzo

xDSD Gryphon: birth of a ‘head-fi’ legend
@kaushama Hey! Hi and sorry for your problem with the Gryphon. I am in a very big doubt about the Gryphon, and I can see that you had/have the iDSD Black. Can you tell me something about it? DX320 ROHM dac chips, Android 11, AMP11MK2s. *******NEW FW: 2.07*******
Thank you for the help. When I read the name, it went back in my memory from many years. I already bought directly with Ibasso many years ago. DX320 ROHM dac chips, Android 11, AMP11MK2s. *******NEW FW: 2.07*******
Yes, actually they can ship. Some brands, and Ibasso is included. The last big question is value declaration for customs. I know it's not the usual, doing things straight. But in Brazil anything of any amount coming from courier, for example, is taxed 110% of the declared amount plus shipping...- mrhizzo

Lotoo PAW Gold Touch - Touchscreen, 4.4mm Bal, USB DAC, Bluetooth
Hello people, long time without any contact. I am not sure exactly where to look, but as an owner of one LPGT, and absolutely adore the sound of this DAP, had throwed away (in my drawers) many other DAPs, and still, one big issue for my use, is the lack of Android. I am not leaving LPGT or...- mrhizzo

New TOL A&K DAP : the AK Ultima SP1000
My SP2000 got a rainbow of colors when it started and touch problems. It took around 3 weeks to change. And the Bluetooth to my soundbar that is just in front of me (2 meters) that keep cutting? And the slow updates. VERY SLOW. Good that I don't expect anything from any company, because I would...- mrhizzo
