Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)
Thank you, I bought it second hand back in 2018. It should be the original Master 7 with the Singularity board additionally installed. When I'm home I'll try to take pictures of its internals and post them here. I am aware that the DI20-HE sounds better than the SU-6. But I have a limited...- PiNa.cz

Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)
Hi guys, I have a 2016 Master 7 with Singularity board installed and v7 firmware. I'm using it with a Master 9 amp and HD800 headphones and have it connected to PC via USB Anamero 384 board. I came across the Singxter SU-2 lately and at first glance it seems like it might be an improvement over...- PiNa.cz

Audio GD Master-11(Combination from Master 7 and Master 9)
I have the Reference 10.32 with USB32 board. I have asked Mr. Kingwa about possible upgrade to Anamero board and he said that the difference is not that big to be worth possible problems during upgrade. So I am kinda confused now . Can you compare these two please?- PiNa.cz

Audio GD Master-11(Combination from Master 7 and Master 9)
For Reference 10.32 (predecessor of Master 11) Mr. Kingwa recommended using it only up to 8 hours in one run. There is a lot of heat generated inside and longer runs decrease longevity of its components - especially electrolytic capacitors. Dunno how it goes with Master 11 but Reference 10.32...- PiNa.cz

Audio GD Master-11(Combination from Master 7 and Master 9)
bimmer100: Are you sure about that? From what I have heard from Mr. Kingwa it seems that Master 11 is kinda like Reference 10.32 on steroids. And Reference 10.32 when used with SE headphones or via RCA SE uses all 4 PCM1704UKs.- PiNa.cz

Taken from another thread - we probably need to wait till September for some head to head comparison: Amanero combo384 is a great board, well regarded in the DIY community. It is used in my Yulong DA8 and I have yet to have a single issue with any file. 24/48/96/192, DSD, DXD all work...- PiNa.cz

Three New Amps on Preorder from Audio-GD (C-2 11th Anniversary Edition, NFB-1AMP, NFB-3AMP)
Well, Master 11 is kinda like "Reference 10.32 on technological steroids" with just slightly better SQ. And Reference 10.32 was available on the site for approx 3 years for the same price as Master 11. http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/Reference10/RE10EN.htm Regarding DAC-19 and...- PiNa.cz

Audio-Gd Reference 10
It seems that USB32 days are numbered. New DACs will have an option of Anamero Combo 384 board instead of USB32 if needed. According to Mr. Kingwa, the Anamero module Anamero Combo 384 should be available for separate purchase in September and it will be possible to replace the USB32 interface...- PiNa.cz

Three New Amps on Preorder from Audio-GD (C-2 11th Anniversary Edition, NFB-1AMP, NFB-3AMP)
Good news: According to Mr. Kingwa, the Anamero module should be available for purchase in September. It will be possible to replace an old USB32 interface with Anamero board without any soldering.- PiNa.cz

Audio-Gd Reference 10
I was expecting that as Mr. Kingwa already removed Ref 10.32 from Products page and it was replaced by Master 11. No reason to offer them both when SQ is only slightly better. It is nice to see that Ref10.32 was designed so well that it took 3 years to upgrade it ;-)- PiNa.cz

Audio-Gd Reference 10
At first I was very tempted to sell my Ref 10.32 and get the new Master 11 instead, but after close inspection Master 11 seems to be Ref 10.32 DAC (4 PCM 1704UK vs 8 PCM1704UK in Master 7) with slightly more powerfull AMP only. Its SQ could be slightly better than Ref 10.32 but probably not...- PiNa.cz

According to my experience the best headphones for Ref 10 are HD800. It was also confirmed by Mr. Kingwa. Before I bought HD800 I was using K702 and HD650. HD800 are in another league. Ref 10.32 is slightly darker and matches perfectly with HD800. I did try LCD 2 with it shortly but found...- PiNa.cz

IYAshike, it'd be interesting to hear how you like LCDs 2 because FWIW they were somehow too dark for me. It was probably caused by slightly darker Reference's DAC. Maybe that is why Reference matches quite well with HD800.- PiNa.cz

The same here, it is gonna be two years in January 2015 since I bought my Reference 10.32 and since I added the HD800 cans to it last autumn I have no need to buy a better gear/cans. It surely is not the best DAC/AMP available but its price/performance ratio is amazing. I also have HD650 here...- PiNa.cz

BINGO! I was so curious how the SABRE DAC chips sound that I decided to buy the ODAC with the ES9023 chip couple of months ago. It was cheap (approx 100Eur) and it was fun ... for a few days. Bought the version with RCA output and used my Reference 10.32 as amplifier. There was slightly...- PiNa.cz

Here is a thing for all Reference 10.32 owners: The newest NFB-1 (2015) seems to be very nice addition to our Reference 10.32 (via ACSS) if you want to experience the sound of the ES9018 DAC chip. I have asked Kingwa for a comparison of the Ref 10.32+NFB-1 (2015) and the NFB-27. Here is his...- PiNa.cz

SABRE32's treble are far from being neutral. If you haven't read already there is very interesting thread comparing some well known DACs with lots of info: http://www.head-fi.org/t/693798/ranking-of-21-dacs-and-dac-configurations-and-why-chocolate-ice-cream-must-die For me it was...- PiNa.cz

Audio-Gd Reference 10
This is what Kingwa wrote me when I asked him for comparison of the Ref 10.32 and the NFB27: The NFB27 detail is slight clearer than the Reference 10.32 . The bass on the NFB27 is speed and tight, on the Reference 10.32 is not as speed but rich and slight deeper. The NFB27 is emphasize on...- PiNa.cz

Congrats on your purchase. Regarding better HPs for the Ref 10.32 you should definitely give the HD800 a try. You wallet/wife won't be happy but your ears will be blessed. This was my last purchase (HD800) and since then I am only enjoying the music with my Ref 10.32. No itching or need...- PiNa.cz

Brief Odac impressions
Well, I did only very brief comparison so far. Tried to match volume for both as much as I could. I was not interested in soundcards as I wanted an external DAC with ESS chip to be plugged into Reference's input for comparative listening. For my purposes the ODAC was the one- PiNa.cz

Brief Odac impressions
David and Goliath I was wondering how the ODAC sounds after reading all the praise that some Head-Fi members had given it so I went ahead and bought one with RCA outputs from Walter (top notch service, highly recommended). What a nice surprise, it sounds really good. Well, not on par with...- PiNa.cz

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
It is Reference 10.32 with 4x PCM1704UK dac chips and it pairs very well with the HD800: full, balanced and very detailed analogue like sound. That tube amps are DIY design, they are not bad at all but I still prefer Reference 10.32 sound. I am kinda audio-gd guy- PiNa.cz
