IEM/earbuds carrying case recommendations?
I'm probably a few years too late, but Etymotic makes a case with those exact dimensions. It's a hard case mean't for their premium earplugs. It even has padding inside. Don't know anything else about it though.- Bubblejuice

Earphone Silicone Eartips fall off easily. Non-permanent solutions?
My preferred eartips hole is slightly larger than my main earphones nozzle. They fall off when putting them in and out of my pocket. Anyone have any tips on how to keep them semi-permanently on the nozzle? I know I could do a dab of super glue, but that would probably ruin the eartips and...- Bubblejuice

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Would anyone be interested in a headphone swap for a week or two? I have a couple of headphones and some Iems to choose from. I'm looking at the Xelento since I've realized any IEM that goes into my ear just hurts (really small ear canal). But my Beyer Beat Byrd are perfect. However, I'm kind...- Bubblejuice

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Does anyone know how the Xelento fit compares to Beyer Byrd IEMs? I have the Beyer Beat Byrd and their fit with their stock silicone tips is the only IEM I've ever used that I find actually comfortable.- Bubblejuice

Semi-IEM thread?
This is an awesome start! Googling that does come up with a good bit of results. Mostly Airpod type earphones, but it's better than nothing. The Xelento is a half-in ear?- Bubblejuice

Semi-IEM thread?
So I've given up on IEMs. Putting something inside my ear canal just doesn't work for me unfortunately (I've tried many, with many many eartips). Today I received a pair of custom silicone eartips, and it kind of sealed the deal that IEMs are not for me. Earbuds usually don't work for me...- Bubblejuice

How do custom eartips compare to CIEMs?
I tried the radians before. Getting the bore to fit correctly is hard, and you only get one shot. After 3 tries I gave up on that one. They also sounded terrible. I actually just purchased thermoplastic too. I've been practicing, but this stuff hardens very quickly. And I'd rather not stick...- Bubblejuice

How do custom eartips compare to CIEMs?
That does sound pretty great. If I went with a CIEM it would probably be a budget option, but since I really like the R1s, it would be great to make them more comfortable and fit my canal correctly. Have you ever had the issue I mentioned with universals? And if so, did it go away with the...- Bubblejuice

How do custom eartips compare to CIEMs?
I have this issue with typical silicone or foam tips where the IEM needs to be oriented in a very specific way to get clean sound, otherwise it sounds muffled. And with my current IEMs (IMR R1), this is a pretty uncomfortable orientation. I don't have this issue with shallow fit earbuds like...- Bubblejuice

LZ A5
Where did you buy your A5s? When I had a driver failure, LZ basically told me "Tough luck. Hopefully Amazon can help you." I really miss these IEMs, but I'm not getting within 10 miles of an expensive product that has no quality assurance.- Bubblejuice

LZ A5
I had an issue with the left driver of my pair when I owned them. I contacted LZ and they said they don't handle customer service claims and don't do repairs. The only thing I can do is contact the seller I got it from (Amazon) and cross my fingers. Which I did, and luckily they accepted it. But...- Bubblejuice

EarSonics Velvet universal custom in ear monitor with three sound tuning options
I've tried different eartips, but these IEMs only work well in terms of fit with a handful of tips. Something about the nozzle. Otherwise the tips give a slight variance, but not nearly what I heard before. I'll wait to conclude this judgement once I get some Sony hybrids in the mail. In terms...- Bubblejuice

EarSonics Velvet universal custom in ear monitor with three sound tuning options
That's a good point to consider, but no they wetr exactly the same. Both times Tidal on my V20. And I've never downloaded any form of EQ on it. I don't feel that there's more bass really, just more warmth, which makes it "feel" more bassy, but also more bloated. In other words, to me the...- Bubblejuice

EarSonics Velvet universal custom in ear monitor with three sound tuning options
So, I tried the Velvet V2 at two separate meets, and both times I found them pretty bass heavy, almost to the point where I wondered if it would be too much. But I like some thwacking bass, so I went ahead and bought a pair, and now that I have them, for some reason I find them a little bass...- Bubblejuice

I mean, idk, I asked LZ and it seems they purchase legit Sony tips and include them in the package. Otherwise, they are the best 3rd part Sony Hybrid copies I've used.- Bubblejuice

LZ A5
Anyone know where I can buy a pack of the silicone eartips that come with the A5s (preferably only small size)? I know they are Sony eartips, but I can't find legit ones. I've bought about 3 different cheap imitation sets and they are nowhere near the quality as the ones that come with the A5.- Bubblejuice
